iPhone 11 screen scratches

That's not the point at all. The point is that -used in it's natural habitat- ie phone moves around, taken in and out of places repeatedly and the $$ tv is just sitting there being a tv, they are both the victim of not having an extra protection when using them for the reason they were made in the first place.

I've got the same problem.

Multiple scratches on the display just by putting the iPhone in my pocket.

I just contacted the Apple Support and they told me that there was no problem with the display

and that they couldn't know what the reason for the scratches is. They just sent me a link to the prices for repairs... :(

With all this people complaining about this matter, I am still wondering Why Apple do not respond to this manufacturer Defect. Come on Guys is so obvious...

Maybe we need to push a little harder ..We payed a lot of money to have this phone and know is a totally reseller value garbage.

I think I will wait for some fixing program even hairline cracks are under warranty because they can change the same screen and problem will comeback.

And the second reason is I’m living in Poland and I think they can refuse it so it could be a waste of time. I’m so disappointed. We have spent a lot of money on apple products like MacBooks, watches, iPhones, iPads.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 11 Pro. I just use it few days and keep it in my pocket. Already have a lot of small scratches. I never have it so easy and fast with my previous iPhone 3GS and iPhone 6.

Just checking back to this thread after a few weeks, and it looks like the same two users are still aggressively defending Apple and beating the screen protector thing like a dead horse. Unbelievable.

So you really want to tell us that we‘re all just imagining things? Okay, wow.

I‘m happy for you if your screen (if you even have an 11?) is okay, but mine and obviously a lot of others aren‘t.

I don‘t think that it‘s normal that a screen of a 1250€ smartphone gets multiple scratches just by putting it into a pocket...

Same issue on this end. I keep my phone in my pocket and somehow I have a few deep scratches on the front of my phone. Doesn't make sense. I had my iPhone X for 2+ years and didn't have any scratches on it. Help!!

Same happened to mine, I have never dropped the phone, it was in my pocket and when I took him out of the pocket the screen was broken like a spider web from the selfie camera. It just happened 5 days after I purchased the phone.

Provide a source about that claim. :)

Will tell you something, materials in our world are not only 5 or 6 on the scale of hardness, they can be 5.33, 5.42, 5.76, 5.8 and so on. The glass is around 5.5, but it can be also 5.7 or 5.2, etc.

Now tell me what will happen when particle with 5.4 hardness touch and drag on the screen of iphone XS that is 5.7 and then the screen of iphone 11 that is 5.2? Aha, but both will behave the same on your jerryrigs video that uses only materials with hardness 5 and 6 to test the screen. ;)

But let's come here to misinform and copy-paste an article coming from THE VERGE (that is also filled with questionable parts and generalisation) or tell people how they should use a screen protector (that is a good advice, but everyone here knows that already for themself and is not related to the issue).

No doubt - if screen would plastic it won’t crash by pieces. But do you really thinks we are expecting that from top notch phone. Did Apple asked us if we would prefer scratches over crashing? They said it is best glass ever. Is the best glass is plastic now?

Well. Yeah. There is nothing I can respond here. But why every Apple presentation tell us how thinner IPhone became? Maybe worth measure it with screen protector plus case plus cotton gloves? Why it isn’t included into the box?

Also, when I buy new car - should I use it only inside of garage?

Furthermore... why would you have a commercial with a bunch of random stuff flying directly at the phone, just nailing it if you knew you’re phones would scratch easily? The commercial wasn’t of someone dropping it, accept when it drops into a handbag or something. But please do correct me.

BOTTOM LINE:

A peeled banana could scratch this phone.

Screen protector has been now mentioned enough. It is totally irrelevant if we talk about product material defect here. Same as if you were told to wear designated iPhone 11 compatible trousers with velvet lined pockets

In that commercial the things flung at the iPhone were ALL at the back, not the front. I never inferred from that commercial the screen couldn't be scratched and Apple didn't hurl ANYTHING at the screen.
