my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

Older smartphones had more scratch resistant, but more brittle glass.
Since people don't like paying $300 to replace their glass when dropping their phone a foot, cell phone makers overall (not just Apple) moved to formulas that are more shatter-resistant but are slightly more scratch prone.
This issue is solved with a $20 screen protector; you can't apply something for $20 that will stop your screen from shattering in a fall.
Only problem is it cost 29.99 and an incident. Apple Care is only good for 2 years and only 2 incidents. So that means I have only one incident left that Apple care will take care of. That is what is frustrating about the whole issue. It’s a defect in the product and I was charged for it and an incident issued.
I just got my iphone 11 pro from US, and without any use there are like big scratches on the screen.. have been using iphone’ since long.. and never used a screen protector..
so disturbed with this new thing
does apple provide screen change for this? My iphone is completely in warranty
my iPhone 11 Pro also has the same screen problem. it is less than 1 month, kept with extreme care, yet yesterday I mounted a big scratch and 2 smaller ones. never seen such a delicate screen. I am very disappointed

I purchased iphone 11 on 2nd of jan and right on the next day the phone got scratch on the left of selfile camera...this very disappointed me though it has toughest glass but still got scratch...very unhappy
I have the same problem, it has been around 3 weeks since i bought an iphone 11, never dropped it, never put it in the same place with shard objects, yesterday I realized that there are 2 major scratches on the screen. Firstly i thought my eyes were lapsing, couldnt believe this phone's screen may get scratched so easily, total disappointment.

My old iPhone, an iPhone 7 was not as scratched after over 3 years of use. I'm very disappointed with the quality of glass on a phone that expensive!
Hope that they will wake up and do something about this problem.
Wow this is a long thread. Add me to the list. Unboxed my new iPhone 11 last night and got a scratch within 5 minutes. It was a new phone. Apple really needs to address this. Came from a 5s that held up like a tank.

I just bought my iPhone 11, it fall down on the rug and the screen has broken ! Very very disappointed just spent over 700 Dollars! I had iPhone 7 and the screen never scratched or broke , the worst company i would go for Huwawi better .

Same issue. Slight scratch but still noticeable. Some how my Iphone Se lasted 4 years without any scratches. This is clearly a manufacturing defect that apple doesn't want to address. I believe they totally know about this and it is all a ploy to get people to buy Apple Care. Spend $900 on a phone and the junky $2 screen protector is more durable. Has anyone had any luck getting their screen replaced?
My daughters phone after one time in her backpack. Ridiculous. I’ve had my 10 for 2 years and have not had a screen protector on it and zero scratches. Apple you should be ashamed of selling $1000 phones that are crap. I could buy a $1000 car with less scratches.
Glass scratches. PERIOD. And if it takes unusually bright light to see micro scratches, I fail to see how that's an issue.
