iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

Yes I did. But even with unfollowing, I'm still getting notifications of new posts (it's an issue from when they migrated the forum to a new platform), so I find it hard not to comment when I feel I have something to say. As long as I'm not violating forum rules, and not disparaging anyone, which I have not done, I am as entitled to post as anyone.

Have a great day Cha0z!

So I decided to use a dark wallpaper in my iPhone 11, I’ve had it for about 2 weeks, and noticed when the light was shining across the screen that there is a very fine scratch in the glass. I’ve been super careful with this phone not letting the screen run against anything, just fabric. There’s also very fine scratch around the rounder corners of the glass. I’ve been using a soft microfibres cloth to clean off fingerprints. I don’t remember my 6 plus scratching this easily, and the screen on my Apple Watch 3 has not one scratch at all and I’ve scraped that on bricks, the side of the swimming pool, and it has nothing. What’s with the glass on these phones? Is there some kind of coating on the glass and that’s what’s getting scratched? Not too happy about this, if the glass is marked with fine scratched so quickly it’s going to look horrible in a year from now.

I also have a scratch on my screen (11 pro) which can only be the result of putting it into my pocket (and no, I don't keep coins etc in there as well). I've had an iphone 4 and 6 , my wife a 5 and a 6S and my daughter a 6S and an XS. None of us has ever had an issue like this. It's not a huge scratch but it's deep enough that you can feel with your finger. Genius bar said it's a cosmetic issue and my option was to pay for apple care and replace the screen. I asked to escalate the complaint and was then told that I can choose to return the phone for a refund but they can't simply exchange. I don't know whether to return it and then get an XS or try another to see if it's any different/better. I tend to keep phones for a few years and am worried that if it marks this quickly, what will it look like in a few months time.

Unfortunately I can concur that this has also happen to myself, 2 near perfect lines on my screen that has gone from a box to the table where the screen protector was to be applied until the scratches were noticed, over two weeks of going back and forth with apple to no resolve, sent to the store yesterday, to no resolve, and now no one from apple has the decency to respond. This world where everyone is treated guilty till proven innocent truly disheartens me

They are all the same. If you get another 11 or 11 pro you’ll scratch it just by looking at it. i’m from eastern europe and have the same problem here. Probably by march next year Apple will admit internally that they have a problem with these displays and will work with the manufacturer to solve it.

I’m convinced that this is only a first batch problem that will be solved.

I am experiencing the same. Got the iPhone 11 on day 1 and immediately after I started noticing minor scratches without dropping the phone or anything. Today I got a bigger and deeper scratch for no reason as well.

I have used iPhone 7 for 4 years without case or protector and never had such issues.

Terrible!!! Didn’t expect this from apple

And I’m the tooth’s fairy and Justin Trudeau is not a liar while we’re at it hahaha. If not working for apple ‘’undercover’’ well it must be a troll. Big problems with this forum and for that matter, all forums.

Thank you for your answers to clear all that, that’s exactly what I think as well. I couldn’t have said it better. My English to write is not as good as for reading, so for me to put that in words is more difficult. Have a good day Jay.

First, you assumed I’m a men by calling me Mr Fairy, well that says a lot About you now doesn’t it... and your wrong, so keep assuming lolll.

And you think you’re so funny just by the way you write.... you should try stand up comedy instead of writing all that bullshit on forums. Or did you try it already and it didn’t work ? So now you decided to be a troll on forums? Because you’re unhappy and you want people to feel the same as you do by doing that, like many other people ‘’troll’’ do? Well sorry but it doesn’t work with me, so I’m going to just ignore you and all trolls like you. Good luck.

I couldn’t agree more 🙄 I quit reading his posts. It’s a waste of time, it always is when someone thinks he’s always right and write things we’re not talking about in the first place and like if we don’t know the difference of things in this manner, therefore he must think we are ignorant or stupid, which makes me think that’s he’s the type of person who thinks he knows it all and very narcissistic.
