iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

No it isn’t solve at all, but what seems to be solved is the fact that the IPhone 11 screen scratches are a REAL PROBLEM AND A FACT THAT APPLE SEEMS TO PRETEND IT ISN’T..!! So I guess that’s the reason they marked it as solved ... I’m very disappointed of Apple..!!

Yes totally, they just deleted a post I answered just before I answered you !!!! Wow that’s low!!!! They also deleted other posts form other people, because they don’t want to take responsibility and pay for their mistake, while they’re so rich on top of it, make me really mad. I really consider switching from apple to elsewhere.

Like a lot of others, I have a LOT of micro abrasions on my 11 Pro Max. Only been in my pocket with no other items.

I called Apple Support a couple times to see if they would replace my screen or refund my iPhone and didn’t have any luck.

Getting a screen protector today but I’m really disappointed by the whole thing. I’ve had every flagship phone since the 3GS and I’ve never had this problem before. Sure there are a few small ones after a year, but it’s never been this bad before - let alone after only 3 weeks!

I have had the X, and XS, and now the 11 ... never EVER had even a micro scratch. I don't use a screen protector but have the Apple leather case. I carry my phone in my jeans pockets every single day. Last night, I even cleaned it with my t-shirt, which I've done like 6 times since I got the 11 on 9/23 - still flawless.

So, did I get lucky, 3 times in a row or am I just uber careful? Ironically, the only iPhone I have ever had a scratch on, was my iPhone 7, which went beach camping (bad idea btw lol).

I had a iPhone 8+ for three years and the glass was amazing. In and out of my pocket, nothing else in it, no problems. Three days after getting my iPhone 11 Pro Max, the screen had a scratch across the glass. At first, I thought it was a smudge but when I realized it wouldn’t wash out and my fingernail clicked over it I realized it was a scratch. The next day, I had two more. I’m terrified because I don’t do anything different than I did for the past three years. Today, I found a brand new scratch. Now, I’m ****** off because this shouldn’t be happening in a $1200 phone

I called my wireless company to return my 11 pro. It's making me feel ill. They confirmed I can't turn off the IR flood illuminator. Fortunately my screen has survived scratch-gate, and can be returned. Though i feel like i shouldn't touch it until my new phone arrives...

Perhaps a cause of weird screen issues?

People understand that if they drop their phone there’s a good chance some damage will occur. That’s why almost everyone puts it in a case. What people don’t understand is scratches that appear out of nowhere. Apple didn’t read their customers needs on this one. We want glass that won’t scratch with normal use. Not glass that won’t shatter if we drop it off the Empire State Building.

Another day....more scratches. This phone looks years old and I've had it a week and it lives pretty much alone in pants or hoodie pocket. I put it next to my nearly 2 year old iPhone X that has been around the world and the X screen is still flawless and looks newer than my week old 11 Pro. They clearly have some issue with the screen coating. I am going to try and return mine to my mobile phone provider and see what they say. This is unacceptable....by the end of the month my iPhone will probably look like I took sandpaper to it.

Same here. I've never used a screen protector, and the iPhone I'd used for a year, that I returned to Apple when I got my new one a few weeks ago, was completely scratch free. I'm super careful with my phones. Never put in a pocket where there's anything else. Never thrown in a purse. Anyway, with in a few days a long significant scratch appeared down most of the length of my phone. I'm baffled and disappointed.
