iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

Update from my issue: I went into the Apple store with a genius appointment this week and they said they would offer a screen replacement as a one time courtesy. I came back an hour later and they ended up giving me a replacement phone. I saw my original and it looked like they had issues putting it back together, there was some type of glue or adhesive seeping out from the top.

i looked at the other 11 pro max display models in the store and all were badly scratched with the similar issue to mine.

I got my iPhone X Pro just few weeks ago and there is more scratches now than at my 2 years old iPhone X. I never dropped the new one unlike previous - but still old one looks much better. That's really looks like screen defect - hope Apple will accept that once. That's real shame to top level phone to have such cheap screen resistance. I was loyal buyer of iPhones since iPhone 3 - but absolutely dissappointed with newest one. Real shame.

This is a major defect, had my iphone 11 pro for just 2 weeks and deep scratches already that i can even feel then, despite minimal usage, no keys mixed just normal pocket usage. My iphone 8 plus not a single scratch after 2 years!!

Apple should recall the glass on iphone 11 pro and the cameras as both are defective. Why is Apple denying this issue in light of overwhelming complaints, news articles and social media about these problems??

Literally the same for me. I’ve never needed a screen protector, however I tropically use a tempered glass privacy screen. I decided to hold off for the first few days with my 11 Pro Max, as those screens significantly reduce visibility imo.

i have an incredibly annoying scratch section that doesn’t even feel like a scratch, more like I just have something stuck screen. No drops, no blemishes anywhere else. I’m hyper-keen on keeping my phone in my pocket free of any other items for this exact reason.

highly disappointed.

Hi I just noticed that my iphone 11 screen has scratches on the display. I try not to pay attention to it, but can't help but noticing the scratches. I am very careful with my phone, and always put it in a specific pocket of my pant, separately from the key and wallet. This is so frustrating, as I have so many iphones in the past, and never had this kind of issue even without screen protector. I really hope that Apple will address this issue promptly.

I have the same thing happening. I noticed a few small scratches, but now I have a section at the top that looks like a mess of scratches about a quarter wide. I can’t feel them so they aren’t deep, but they can’t be removed. I didn’t drop my phone and I keep nothing in my pocket with my phone. It’s very noticeable and appeared out of nowhere.

I have this issue as well. Theres a 2" scratch on my screen that I can feel with my fingernail, but there was no incident. The phone was only 3 days old when I noticed it and I had been extremely careful with it that entire time.

And like many of the others on this thread, I've had various other iPhones in the past and this never happened to any of them, even after years of use.

What are we supposed to do about this? The scratch is so big and the phone is so new that I'm not willing to just deal with it...
