I read through this thread before I purchased my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I told the person at the xfinity store about it and asked if I could return the phone in the event that I experience this issue. They told me I could return the phone within 14 days, so I took that opportunity to try and scratch my phone under normal conditions and even some non normal conditions. I tried to scratch my phone with my pockets, my finger nails, my keys, salt that I poured on the table and rubbed the phone around on it, and I could not get it to scratch. I did this to try and help people in this thread and think there could be some defective screens out there.
I risked my phone and having to go through the whole return process to be helpful, and posted my progress as I went along. You should apologize and be thanking me right now.
I even recommended that people who are getting scratches to try to scratch there phone with something that is a 5 or lower on the hardness scale to prove that there screen was defective. There phone is already scratched anyway and it would prove the defect to Apple. But people posted that they would not do that.
I did it and my phone was not even scratched in the first place, and I did it to help. And no I don’t work for Apple and I’m not having a laugh.
In your case, if you think your screen was scratched my something softer than a 6, and it’s already scratched, why don’t you try putting another small scratch on it with something that is a 5 or lower on the hardness scale. It’s already scratched and you already are going to return it anyway. This would prove if it is defective or not.
wouldn’t it?
and if it does not scratch then guess what?
you scratched your phone and that’s you fault.
