iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

I come back to tell my story.

I was seduced and I bought in Finland iphone 11 pro 512 gb.

From the interesting, I can say that the first unpacked iphone was with fingerprints in different places (camera, screen). I asked for a replacement. After that I got a perfectly clean phone. Seller Comment: “Soon they will be similar to Xiaomi.”

Without a protective glass, a couple of hours in a jacket pocket. I wiped it with a t-shirt. Not injured. The glass was not super soft. Then pasted a protective glass. Week with the phone. The flight is normal.

Hi I’ve only had my iPhone 11 pro for a week. I’ve only ever had iPhones since the 3s and have never had a scratched screen. I’ve found a tiny deep ish scratch on the front of my screen.

I’m gutted, I’ve always passed my phones onto my daughter and they’ve been as new. I’ve not dropped it, it is treated with care so I’m flummoxed as to how it’s happened.

Does anyone know if there is a way to treat these types of scratch. I’ve tried the toothpaste and backing soda lol. 🤗

Once scratched the phone is scratched. Using toothpaste or backing soda would logically only worsen the situation, so a pretty bad idea.

If you've only had the phone a week, return it for full refund. You can then buy the phone again and put a screen protector on to avoid this from the beginning. You have 14 days to return the phone for refund.

answer to the question : do replaced screens get scratched too? Yes ! I had my display replaced under warranty exactly 7 days ago. Today I realized I have a tiny scratch in the middle of the screen and a scuff mark at the edge. The display didn’t last even 8 days !!! That’s two displays in two weeks !!

how is it even possible?!!!!!!!!

I’ve always

had Apple make. But such screen surface as 11 Pro I’ve never seen. There are

some minor scratches after using it carefully and keeping on my desk. It seems

like it gets scratched out of the blue. For the phone which costs over $1000 it

is just unacceptable. As I can see from the comments it’s a massive tendency.

If this problem is not going to be resolved, then it’s the last thing I have

bought from Apple. The only thing which is left from Apple is image. The

quality could be better.

I'm sure Apple is well aware of the issue and is considering their options. At a minimum, they will need to make an official company statement acknowledging the extreme susceptibility of the iPhone 11's coating and/or glass to permanent smudges, scuff marks, and scratches. Apple will likely also need to do something to make it right for affected customers, because quite simply, it is inexcusable for the eleventh iteration of an expensive piece of equipment to suddenly be scratch magnets even in the hands of owners handling it with great care (and within just days or weeks, to boot), whereas all previous models required much more physical abuse to get scratched.

I have iPhone 6 in my hands that was through every family member and literally through ****. There is not not a single scratch on the display. Neither I ever had any scratches on any of blackberries. Heck, I can’t remember a single Nokia, Ericsson or Motorola ever having scratched! Not my wife’s Samsung, LG, or any other droid. This is put it simple - unprecedented.

The screen protectors that Apple sells are made by Belkin and have a cutout for the notch. So, even if you use a screen protector, doesn't this mean that the notch area may still be scratched? If so, wouldn't this impact the front facing camera and sensors? I don't see any reputable companies like Belkin with fullscreen screen protectors.
