iPhone 11 screen scratches

The same happened with my iPhone 11. I was holding it as a baby all the time and after a week of usage I’ve discovered a deep (felt when touching it) scratch. Never had anything like this on my iPhone 7, which I used for 2 years.

Same here.... no incident what so ever... still a snatch out of nowhere..... crazy for such in expensive mobile phone and very unexpected because of good quality experiences with earlier iPhones and the Apple Watch..... the most annoying however is the attitude of Apple call centre employees who simply don’t take your story seriously.... “you’ll have probably snatched it with your keys...” No sir! I would not even have the guts to call you if that was the case..... ****!

Hah - that excuse is played out. I’ve seen that posted all over reddit. I’d like to see that information verified by Apple themselves instead of regurgitated online in every forum that exists by the armchair experts.

It really doesn’t matter what anyone says, these phones shouldn’t scratch from light usage on a daily basis. Obviously I’m not a dummy, and I know that screens and phones are not scratch and crack proof. However, there is no excuse for scratches to happen so easily.

Reading through several replies from rbrylawski and sergekills show a suspicious amount of justification coming from both of them regarding this issue. They’re obviously all-in on the Apple bandwagon. I am generally a very big fan of Apple and their products, but I also call them out when it’s due.

I am also a huge fun of apple, I own 2 ipad plus pencil, macbook, imac, iphone, apple tv, airpods, I would buy the apple watch if the battery is as good as my fitbit.

But this time, I think apple own us some explanation, they should at least investigate about this issue.

I guess issue with rbrylawski and sergekills was that, the scratches didn't happen to them, they probably assume that the scratches caused by some mishandling for the phone, however, they did appear from nowhere, I guess it was somehow hard to believe at first if they didn't experience that

I was just giving an examples that the issue was kinda highlighted in the mainstream news, I believe one of other media which covered this issue was 7news, according to the wiki, it's 'as of 2016, the highest-rating in Australia', if this thread is getting this level of highlight, apple might be willing or forced to investigate

I have a couple in the middle of the screen and near the front camera as well. Just didn’t manage to capture it on camera. And yes some are around the keyboard. But I don’t have long nails or anything like that.

It's insane. I keep my shiny new iPhone 11 either in my trousers or in a sleeve and yet there are dozens of tiny scratches all over the display. Very, very disappointed. I had the SE before and absolutely no problems with the screen. I feel very mislead by Apple's advertisement of the iPhones durability. I mean really, what is going on here.

True. But I have 4 Iphones in the family and they hold up better. I also mentioned there my Daughter has a Iphone 7 with no scratches (nothing significant like my 6 days old Iphone 11 Pro Max) and no protector.

Hello honestly i think that this just a campaign againt apple you just want to give a bad thoughts about the new iphone because its the most powerfull phone of the year i saw all the photos of the scratches and i think its impossible to such scrutches to happen from nothing it dosn't really make any sense especially from a great company like apple am using the new iphone without any protections and nothing happened and we will wait to hear from some official sources

Off course we understand and thanks for your response. It is not my intention to complain. However I can confirm that the Iphone 11 and other related models do scratch easily toughness does mean does not scratch or scuff. Gorilla glass and other surfaces I have dont exibit scratches like this phone does. Is it a show stopper ? No it is not ! but Apple has to be accountable for their claims. Had I not been mis-led by Apple's claim I would have put a screen protector on it. They dont look bad right aways but you see them in light at glancing angle and and you realise OMG where did all these scuff marks come from in just 3 days ! When the number of reports are in the millions then there is a lot of truth to it. Rest my case.

That's only partially true. I arrived here because of a Forbes article talking about this thread, which I am sure will be seen by Apple, so while they may not be here directly, 100s of people posting here is getting noticed.

I have the same problem. Have never scratched my iPhone before. Seems like such a waste to cover the screen up with cheap plastic to protect it, when the screen is one of the reasons I bought the iPhone 11 pro max.

only use 15 days, and just put in my pocket, i feel it worse than iphone 3gs/4s/6s/8/x that i used before,

if apple not give a solution, maybe i only choose is change samsung, and never use apple any product.

my wife used samsung for 1 years, not any scratch here, and using Gorilla Glass in iphone3gs is my reasons for Choosing Apple Initially at 10 years before, but now , i can't feel that.

So is it just a defect and Apple will release iPhone 11 without this defect or the new iPhones are just like this and they will be easily scratched?

So my question is is it defect and Apple will fix it or it is like this be forever in the 11?
