iPhone 11 screen scratches

The important thing to note here is that Apple made a claim that it is the toughest screen ever. That clearly means they should not scratch or even break under normal use. They have not made a single comment. We have some fanboys who here who want to fend everyone as if they have no other work in this world than to complain ! The complain is so Apple will hear us. it is important that we are heard. I have never had issues with Apple before for which I have lodged a complain. This to me is a big issue. Maybe to some they don't think it is important and then keep fending everyone about their stupidity and not using a screen protector and so on. People made a choice and spent a lot of money on this phone. This is simply not acceptable !

I noticed a tiny blotch, and it won’t come off my screen, I use an IPhone XS Max, I’ve had it for 6 months through Verizon. I was very irritated by the blemish I noticed, especially because I clean and take care of my iPhone. I have learned to be careful, I have owned an iPhone since 2010, it’s the only phone I like and value . I know my history with scratches, dents, cracks, and abrasions. This blemish on the screen is unusual and I can’t explain it to myself.

I’ve kept mine away from anything that would scratch. 1st iPhone in a few years. I’ve never had this problem w Samsung! I never needed a screen protector for scratches!! I’m only using an iPhone again because I loved my Apple Watch and love my iPad. Thought I’d go back to iPhone. Everything I read said the screen is super tough...no problems. Well the only place I keep this phone is pocket of my scrubs and on my bed at night. How in the **** do you get screen scratches from scrubs and sheets?

we need compensation! We need new screens!

I’m also having the same problem. I’ve had the phone for maybe two days. I already have a ton of micro scratches and even a small chip. I’ve never dropped the phone or mishandled it a single time. This needs to be rectified...

Oh, you’re right, Corning is lying about their glass, I’m sure Apple will discover some magic formula that a company that has been working with glass for over a century has been unable to. 🙄

I spoke to Apple support on numerous of occasions and got either ignored or told to go elsewhere. I mentioned everytime about this forum and that got ignored too and I was blamed for what happened to my phone even though the scratches are expanding. I wouldn’t say I’m the first to mention this forum to them either

I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who are promoting screens guards on this forum would go to the extent of saying Apple used a screen protector for this ad... 😂 I can just imagine if this phone experienced that kind of beating (which it cannot) how it would have looked....

I was considering purchasing a 11 pro,I think I will wait for a few months to see how the scratch thing pans out, thanks to everyone for highlighting this problem,I think this is totally unacceptable for a new phone, I am still using a 5s no screen protector and no scraches.

Only the person who started the thread can mark this solved. It has nothing to do with Apple and Apple isn't on this forum, so it doesn't really matter as they're not reading these posts for anything other than violation of the terms of use we all agreed to when we joined the forum. This forum is ALL user to user only.

There are forum hosts from Apple here. They absolutely DO remove posts which they determine violate the terms of use. For example, disparaging another user or ranting is not allowed and the forum hosts will remove such posts. But Apple itself, such as Apple Support or Apple Engineering are prohibited from being on this forum.

And I don't honestly care what you care about or how long you've been on this forum. I was simply trying politely tell you what you're claiming was ridiculous without calling you a something impolite, as I wouldn't want Apple, to get upset with me again.

Unless you're Apple or whomever you think is running this forum, you don't know anything more than I do. You opinion means nothing more than anyone else's. Your fact is incomplete.

You said it yourself: you never have your iPhone without a screen protector. An outlier to many of us here, who are normal users, who use their iPhones with care without screen stickers.

What you have posted explain nothing about what is happening to our days-old iPhones 11, albeit factually consistent with your experiences and length of time being in this forum.

Because it all depends on how it lands.

Even the "toughest glass" will shatter if the phone lands wrong, typically on a corner.

It's basic physics and materials science.

It's no different for even regular glass; I've dropped glass bottles on concrete and some have bounced and rolled away while others have smashed immediately.

Just noticed my brand new iPhone 11 Max Pro has several scratches on the screen. I’ve always carried my iPhones in my left pocket with nothing else in it. I take very good care of my phones, this is ridiculous. The only time I’ve ever gotten scratches like this on my iPhone is the one time I accidentally dropped my phone at an airport and it slid along the concrete screen side down. This is a bunch of Bs.
