Change the voice. The Uh-Huh seems to be associated with the South American Female voice option.
For instance the American Male has proper, respectful, intelligent sounding replies. I’m sure others do as well, you’d just have to try out different ones.
Or just don't wait between "Hey, Siri" and your question. Siri only says that if you pause. So, no pause, no uh-huh.
It's really annoying and in a way disrespectful lol.
I have the 11 Pro Max as well and this is really annoying. I can’t find how to disable it. Please let me know when you find a solution to this disrespectful response from Siri.
I hope there's a fix. i hate it. I just feel like smacking him when I hear the hmmm or uh huh
I feel like I'm interrupting Siri from her tweet or something when I begin a request. Like, if I wanted to feel disrespected and annoying, I'd ask my kid.
Any luck? I am now getting dirty looks from people that seem to think I think this disrespectful response is acceptable. It’s rude as **** and I don’t know what apple was thinking!

I just wanna disable Siri because it’s annoying and rude

If you supply some details, perhaps someone here can help. This form should work:

I switched her to Irish and she only does it once in a while :)..and I like her accent!
I am in UK and my phone says "I'm here" in male voice (default)
Try downloading British Male voice it may be more polite.
I hope enough of us complain that they fix it. As someone said earlier, don't wait for her to respond, Just say, Siri set my alarm..." so, now that makes us just as rude as she is!

Let Apple know here:

Disgraceful - simply isn't cricket.
The solution is simple.

You are right it should be configurable!
Did you submit feedback to Apple telling them that?
Siri says uhhuh instead of yes
