Change the voice. The Uh-Huh seems to be associated with the South American Female voice option.

For instance the American Male has proper, respectful, intelligent sounding replies. I’m sure others do as well, you’d just have to try out different ones.

Or just don't wait between "Hey, Siri" and your question. Siri only says that if you pause. So, no pause, no uh-huh.

So, first of all... when she says UhHuh it’s like in the most disrespectful tone. It’s as if she doesn’t care what I am going to ask lol

I teach my kids to reply with yes! Instead of uhhuh... and this is a huge pet peeve for me!

Also, as a professional I expect Siri to preform as an assistant if I need anything, she would be fired with this attitude.

Same problem. Really, like I woke SIRI from a nap, and am annoying a room mate. SORRY! Wait, you're my servant! I OWN you. SNAP TO, SOLDIER! I expect, YES SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER (query), NOT "HUH?" I can only imagine the board room table where this was discussed and agreed upon. Doubt Jobs would approve! At least give an option: RUDE, Neutral, RESPECTFUL, MILITARY, etc, Apple covered EVERYTHING else, but not this! Slipping! Well, at least you got the coolest office building on earth. How about those glass walls! Anyway, this casual, familiar tone Got to GO!!!!

I don't like these responses. #1, I use "Hey, Siri" to find my phone a lot of the time.. busy person, always putting my phone down somewhere... when Siri uses this response, I can't always hear her. So I don't know if Siri heard me at all, leading me to wonder, where did I leave my phone lol

It would be nice to see the change back to "Yes", or maybe optional responses. I suppose I could always use my watch to ping my phone, but I'm not always wearing it lol. Anyway, I prefer the "Yes" response. Thanks!

Dear Apple,

Please give us the option of choosing Formal or informal versions of Siri's responses. Or even better let us choose how she answers us. If we want it to to say "Yes, Name?" or whatever other phrase we want. I would like to add or remove words from the vocabulary myself to an extent. That way people who don't mind the "mhm", "Fine", "Uh huh?", "sure" answers can keep that version and people who want a voice that sounds like good customer service which is why I bought an apple can have what they want.

Please. I feel like my virtual assistant is being rude to me. Like I am bothering it for help. It feels like bad customer service from Apple frankly. If I went into an Apple store store and asked for help and the person assisting me said "uh huh?" instead of "how may I help you?" would that be appropriate? I certainly don't think so.

The real issue is if I say "Hey Siri create appointment for Wednesday at 10:AM Subject Dentist" (without waiting for a response), sometimes she never actually activated and I had no idea. Only to find out after no response at all. this happens sometimes when my phone is on my desk in front of me or I have my Air Pod Pros in.

It is just annoying that's all. And when you pause, you get a ********* response of Uh-Huh, Yes would be nicer. or even a tone to let you know Siri heard your initial "Hey Siri"

I also had the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Same story and I cannot stand it. It is disrespectful and you wouldn’t want your children saying uh-huh. Or talking with a mouthful. They’ve known about this because I’ve called a couple times. With the cost of these phones they should have an understanding what the consumer does not like.

I don’t blame you. I wish they’d have regular folks who use the phone continuously and have for years to find out what they can do just to improve using it. I’ve also complained that it chooses its own nouns when I do Siri to text, such as when I say her it will type him, or when I say he it will type them, etc. I do have a few complaints and I’ve emailed or called for years but nothing gets done on the issues I feel are important to me. Don’t get me started on my own music that I downloaded from CDs and synced with my phone and all my songs that I own have disappeared. Unfortunately when I did it I trusted them so much I got rid of my CDs that I’ve had for years. Good luck and keep us posted. I really appreciate it.

It’s absolutely awful. I realize it’s a bit of a nitpick, but this kind of rude ******** is what you get at the grocery stores the motor vehicle ministration places were people don’t care about customer service I don’t want my phone to be a dumb *****. It sounds unintelligent, I realize it’s supposed to be conversational I don’t want conversational I want a matter of fact compliance with my requests.
