Siri says uhhuh instead of yes
What is this new response I get when I say Siri? she says uhhuh instead of yes? I have iPhone 11 Pro Max I really don’t like response and want to change it.

Change the voice. The Uh-Huh seems to be associated with the South American Female voice option.
For instance the American Male has proper, respectful, intelligent sounding replies. I’m sure others do as well, you’d just have to try out different ones.
Or just don't wait between "Hey, Siri" and your question. Siri only says that if you pause. So, no pause, no uh-huh.
Exactly!!! Yes thank you!! I’m going to the store tomorrow and will be voicing our concerns. If I get anything good I’ll let u know.

I don’t want it to be able to do that at all. I want to remove that option completely.
Then want will be your master, as my grandfather used to say.
Hello ~ We…good luck with that.

And it never occurred to you to say “Hey Siri, what’s the weather?” I did just that when I woke up this morning, and I got a weather forecast for the day.
Tayboogie, thanks for confirming that the British accent also acts like they are annoyed.
You’re welcome lol

One of my favorite phrases of yours.
This is still a major issue for me!!! Apple help… I’m thinking of going to Android. I tried turning Siri off but I do like the virtual assistant. I can’t handle language like that for many reasons.
Hello ~ What is your technical question for me since you addressed me?

It sounded more polite that’s all.
It's sort of like when people say, "Can I ask you a question?"
At least, I would want to know that Siri heard me first before I ask a question he sent the pause.
If I say “Hey Siri” I need some feedback from it to know it is attentive and listening, before my question follows.
It’s just a poorly designed user interface and frankly I’m surprised that with so many unhappy users that Apple isn’t doing something to be more responsive to its customers’ concerns.
I love it too. Works on my 11 but not on my wife’s 13. Too bad. Why is it not included anymore and if so how to activate it.
