Change the voice. The Uh-Huh seems to be associated with the South American Female voice option.
For instance the American Male has proper, respectful, intelligent sounding replies. I’m sure others do as well, you’d just have to try out different ones.
Or just don't wait between "Hey, Siri" and your question. Siri only says that if you pause. So, no pause, no uh-huh.
Well as you can see there are some of us who also felt the need to make a statement about this and have provide a work around till the smart a** programer at apple realize that some of us have great sense of humor but not from our machines. I like the "heySiri" and going directly into my inquiry. Hey Siri, HeySiri back to back will get you also the "Hello name" how can i help you today" or similar nice greeting. i think holding the keyboard short cut down till you finish asking will also prevent the cheeky reponses( i turned off the mac Siri. I have had iphone and imac actually listen to each other triggered from sound on the tv( no reponses to each other thank God .That would be scary!
So no pausing.

Correct. "Huh" cannot be heard as well in addition to being unintelligent use of language. It should be fixed. People with bad language skills shouldn't be doing user interface design.
No one here can change it. Let Apple know your thoughts here:
This problem has never been resolved. This topic only recognizes its existence. Apple doesn't work on problems identified on "Apple Support Communities" according to some people here. The smartest person on here (or at least the one with the most points) said if you want the problem resolved you have to talk to Product Feedback. In other words, there is no solution. So now you know.

I wish we could get this solved. It was nice when Siri would respond with my name. The uh-huh answer has to go.
You never have to hear "uh huh" if you don't pause between "Hey, Siri...." and the rest of your question.
Calling Apiple Support would be rather a waste of your time and theirs. Siri is working as designed. If you want to let Apple know you don't like how they designed it, use the feedback page:
Put your feedback under the general iPhone category as Siri is built in.

Hello ~This has turned out to be one of my pet peeves now…maybe if we leave enough feedback they will do something about it. It drives me to distraction and it is indeed aggravating.
Just don't leave a pause between "Hey Siri...." and your request. You'll never hear it.

Siri response should be selectable by the user.
Are you new to Apple products, by chance? Apple's not big on that.
And, as has been noted repeatedly, you don't ever have to hear Siri say that. Just don't leave a gap between "Hey, Siri..." and your request.
Hello ~ Siri is a virtual assist and not a real person that is designed to work in a certain way by Apple. No one here in this forum can change that. So…we have to use it as designed. If you say “Hey Siri, what time is it?” I just bet you will get an answer. If you would like to leave your feedback for Apple… Take a look here:

I just got the iPhone 13 pro max and started getting the same response. It just irks me when I hear this response. I am hoping they (apple) goes back to the way it was. It is rude to me how this phone response to me. Uhhhh!
Siri has been using this for a couple of years now: longer than this thread is old.
As for your prompting preference: Don’t pause. Don’t force Siri to wait for you. State your query directly.
And log feedback with Apple. Product Feedback - Apple
I like the uh-huh. I’d rather not wait through a much longer and more formal sequence, if I do mistakenly trigger this path.
The product enhancement is that you don’t have to wait for Siri to respond anymore; just say “Hey Siri, what’s the weather?” If you pause you are being “rude” to Siri. It’s like walking up to a friend and saying “Hey, Joe” and nothing else. Joe most likely will say “uh huh?” or perhaps something nastier.
Sense I have upgrade to the iPhone 13 pro max I have been disappointed in Siri’s response. I was told because I delay my speaking/question Siri will respond with “Uhuhh” and I should just continue asking my question then Siri will just respond with out “Uhuhh”. So I give it a try, trying to break old habits, and it works… 90% of the time. I still get annoyed when I have to repeat myself and end up going back to my old habit of waiting for Siri to acknowledge me before I ask my question so I don’t have to repeat, repeat, repeat.
Hello ~ Your other “option” is just don’t pause and Siri will do as you ask and not “say” anything.

Did you try this suggestion from earlier in this thread?:
We all learned to say "Hey, Siri..." and then wait. The newer, faster phones don't require that pause. If you just say, "Hey, Siri, what time is it?" at a normal pace, all you'll get is the answer to your questions. [Source]

I am in UK and my phone says "I'm here" in male voice (default)
Try downloading British Male voice it may be more polite.
I use the British Male voice. I've certainly gotten the "uh huh" if I leave too long a pause. It's possible that Apple has changed this but, as I don't leave a pause, I never hear anything but the answer.
Apple are not here to address your dislikes.
You have been given the route to ask Apple to change Siri’s vocabulary
Here it is again
Feature request to Apple
