Change the voice. The Uh-Huh seems to be associated with the South American Female voice option.
For instance the American Male has proper, respectful, intelligent sounding replies. I’m sure others do as well, you’d just have to try out different ones.
Or just don't wait between "Hey, Siri" and your question. Siri only says that if you pause. So, no pause, no uh-huh.

I don’t allow my kids to speak like that, why would I want my phone to?
You put your phone in the same category as your kids? Interesting.
As has been explained, repeatedly in this thread, you can avoid ever hearing the "Uh-huh" if you don't pause between "Hey, Siri...." and your request.
Hello ~ I will tell you what I did to make it at least bearable… Settings * Siri and Search * Language and there I selected a different English (United Kingdom) as that accent to my ear is the least creepy and offensive…. Other than that… Product Feedback - Apple…on a lighter note..while correcting my youngest grandchild while they were saying uhhhuuh…his response “ that’s what Siri says!!!”😳

I switched the Siri back to Irish (kind of a nice voice) and thank God. Now when I say “Hey Siri” I get that familiar beep tone as opposed to the annoying “uh-huh” response. So much easier to hear when trying to locate my misplaced phone. Thanks for the tip skyjack Thanks for being no help whatsoever Apple.

Not cool. I did not like it. At least we should be able to choose how she responds to our command.
If you don’t want to hear the “uh-huh” prompt, then don’t pause your request.
And as mentioned above, log feedback with Apple.

I just got the iPhone 13 pro max and started getting the same response. It just irks me when I hear this response. I am hoping they (apple) goes back to the way it was. It is rude to me how this phone response to me. Uhhhh!
It was never any different on the phones with faster processors. But you never have to here "uh huh" if you don't leave a pause between "Hey, Siri...." and your request. The power resides with you to stop this from annoying you.
Hello ~ If this upsets you then do not pause between your “Hey Siri” and your request. For example….
”Hey Siri what time is it?” If you pause Siri will say “hhmmm?” We are fellow forum users like yourself and complaining here will not change anything. Take a look here where Apple will see your opinion:
Also there are 37 pages of solutions that you can read back through for help.

Hello ~ If you don’t pause between “Hey Siri” and your request you will not hear the “annoying” responses. Siri was introduced to us in 2011 and is the most helpful 11 year old that I know.

Seri responds to me with uhhuh. I tell my children not to respond to me that way and I don't like it. How was that suppose to be a product enhancement?
Well, if you say "Hey, Siri...." and nothing else, yes, you'll get that. Don't do that.

This is really annoying. It is like trying to talk too an 8 year old who is watching Spongebob. No one over the age of 10 can think that this response is appropriate.
The word "uh-huh" celebrated its sesquicentennial some time back.
As this seemingly incenses you, don't pause before stating your request.
Or turn off "Hey Siri" support, and manually summon Siri with a button or control.
Y'all will also want to send your feedback to Apple, of course.
Maybe suggest a setting allowing the user to select the types of responses from a list including salutation, snark, ennui, bubbly, or a Brooklyn- or Boston- or Bogota- or Bengaluru-accented razz, or some other rejoinder?
But until then, "uh-huh" is just fine, on those very few occasions when I even hear that.

Try British Male voice
If you pause for too long, the British Male voice says "uh huh?".

I hate it when siri says uh uh. How to change it?
You can't change it. You can, however, not leave a pause between "Hey, Siri..." and your request.
Hopefully this will fix it, but it seems to have temporarily worked.
I said, Hey Siri
The phone responded with uhhuh
I told it,
I do not want you to say “uh-huh”
It said okay.
I do not want you to say mmhmm
It said okay.
I said, Hey Siri
It then responded with Yes
Unfortunately, there’s no way to change how Siri functions per device, I thought at first it was software but it turns out, it’s all the 11 series phones and I’m assuming this new Siri response will be in all the future iPhones as well. I honestly like it. It’s a more premium version of Siri to me.... a double beep tone is a bit outdated IMO.

Siri has become absolutely annoying. The reply to “ hey Siri” is “mmmm-hmmm?” Why not “yes?”
You can avoid hearing that at all if you don't pause between "Hey, Siri...." and your request.
You guys are getting way too fancy. Stick to yes, no, keep it simple. Your product is becoming annoying.
No one here in these forums has anything to do with it. If you want Apple, who is not reading here for suggestions, to know your thoughts, use the feedback page:

I have always thought that Siri should be polite - please, thank you, your welcome. I accepted its lack of civility as just being a machine. Now, this Unhunh is really offensive.. This is a literal civil war and I am trying to unplug Siri.
You should tell Apple, rather than just us, your fellow users:
Meanwhile, if you don't pause between "Hey Siri...." and your question, you'll never hear the "uh huh?".
