iPhone 11 volume low

I had the same issue and I switch off the phone for few minutes and switch it on again, Luckily it is been OK since after that. Only happened once not after that.

Did Apple reset phone to manufacture settings so you didn’t bring over setting and date from old phone to new phone with same problems. If new, return and get new phone from carrier. Also, carrier should have buyers remorse where they will send and exchange phone. If you go to get our bar, then they should offer a replacement phone if they can’t fix . You are still under Apple manufacturer warranty.

UPDATE: I was hoping this would be addressed by the IOS 13.5.1 update. It may have fixed the random low ringer volume level. I say "may" because I've made it a habit to power cycle the device every morning before work. So far, power cycling the device is the only way to get the volume back to normal once it gets "stuck." There is still an issue with the phone's feedback volume (e.g. key clicks when typing and other app sounds while the phone is unlocked). Now instead of sticking at the lowest level, the volume is now sticking at random volume levels, more often than not it now sticks at full volume. Power cycling the device is the only way to correct this situation.

In addition, texting while using a Bluetooth speaker frequently forces the volume up to maximum. I can try to reduce the volume using either the volume control on the Bluetooth speaker or the device's volume control. In both cases, I see the volume slider move down as if the volume is being changed. And, in some cases the volume level is reduced as expected. However, after typing a few more text characters, the volume jumps back to maximum along with the slider. I can turn the volume down again, but after a few characters, the cycle repeats. These ongoing volume level issues are extremely frustrating.

Apple, if you're listening to your customers, please fix these issues (or at the very least let us know you're aware of them and are working on a solution)!

Every time that I was getting an incoming call and picked up my phone to answer the ringer volume would decrease. So I went to YouTube for answers and it turn out that Face ID will decrease the volume of any alerts including phone calls. Here’s the link for the YouTube video. Hope it helps!!

Did you try cleaning i with a brush and resetting? Worked for me. I agree with your frustration. I was ready to bail out on Apple too.

I’m so glad you posted this because I did the same thing and it works fine now LOL the screen plastic that comes with the phone when it is shipped… Apple really needs to put a big announcement on a card with the new packaging in the new box… to remove that plastic or there could be issues Apple really needs to do that because lo and behold as soon as I took that plastic piece off that came with the phone it fixed the problem duh!!! Thank you so much!!! And I was talking to an Apple person on the phone the other day course I had it on speaker but they couldn’t tell me anything so we need to post this all over this board

Apple has a 14 day change of mind refund policy. If I were you I'd return that phone, get a refund, then buy another unit. With any luck you won't have the issue with the next unit as it seems that not all units are affected, however, I think you'd struggle to get Apple to swap out your current unit since it's likely s software issue.

I did the same and the problem was corrected.

It’s so simple, you’ll smack yourself upside the head and say, I coulda hadda V-8! Look at the bottom or top, depending if landscape or portrait, where you can edit or delete. Probably in blue. See a speaker that has a circle with a slash through it?

I was afraid I’d made a bad purchase. So why hadn’t an Apple representative stepped?

Sorry I can’t be of help, but I’m having the same issue myself. One supposed solution is to go into your sounds and haptics, turn The sound off and then Turn back on. That worked for about two phone calls. I hope Apple is reading these posts and doing something about it. It is beyond frustrating!

I am having issue with my IPhone 11Pro Max volume. If I have someone on speaker and then switch it to the phone I barely can hear the individual on the other end. It happens every time. But if I answer phone it’s okay as long as I don’t switch them to a booth tooth ear piece or speaker.

i have the same volume problems with my new iPhone 11 pro max and so does my wife (same model). Also if I am speaking with someone and I use speaker the other person hears an echo. Has anyone heard of updates to fix the issue? It’s kinda an expensive phone for the volume to not work properly.

My husband I also just purchased the 11 and 11 Pro Max and we are experiencing the same issue it has nothing to do with the plastic covers as neither one of us has the plastic cover on it.

I know that the plastic cover does muffle the sound, and I am glad that, that was your issue and that you were able to resolve it. But there is definitely an issue either the sound mechanism in the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max.

I am having a huge problem with hearing calls on my new iphone 11 pro max - this isn't an inherited issue from my earlier phone (8 plus) and the plastic cover came off straightaway. Called Apple support and they tried all the fixes with no success, so my next step is to go to the Genius bar, where if they can't fix it I get a report to give to my phone company, who will then order me a new phone. What a nightmare! Works absolutely fine if I have the call on speakerphone or if I am using my AirPods, but otherwise it is nearly impossible to hear the person at the other end of the call.
