Mail app leaving blank spaces

Agree! This has gone on long enough! We have had 3+ updates lately, and still doing same “blanks”!😡

As for “organizing by thread”, I already had that marked, so that wasn’t the issue (at least for me)

My “organize by thread” is turned off and it’s still happening!

And to top it off, now my normal viewing of my emails, only shows like 6...and it won’t scroll down!😡 I have to go into just “gmail” to view ALL (even junk)!

Folks, obviously the “tech” did a drive by answer and there has been no one follow through. Not even to acknowledge thus is more widespread, and just not a specific email acct. At least someone should pop in to say they know about it and working to find the flaw (with software this complicated, changing code isn’t always a simple fix).

this is being not just ignored, but forgotten. Higher ups likely don’t know terrestrial an issue. For starters find various forums, any and all to report this. If Apple senses future upgrades may lessen, maybe the response will be more concerted.

Another thing to try is begin a new thread. Maybe somebody, more conscientious may jump in. I think most customer service reps (obviously they are not techs) are just managing small fires with a check list. They hit resolved and move on. No one oversees them.

This seems to have flagged as a macOS issue. It's not. It's a 'Using iPhone' issue.

This problem started relatively recently, last year.

My wife and I both have iPhone 6s's at the latest update 13.3.

We both have sky.com email that connects to Yahoo!.

My wife has the problem where she gets blank spaces in her inbox and new emails are not appearing in the inbox.

If she searches for the email by keyword it appears as being in the inbox.

If she cancels the search goes back to the inbox it is not there.

If she selects a blank space she get "No Mail"

If she logs into the Yahoo server via a browser, the new mail is there.

I am NOT having these problems on my iPhone so it is not dodgy wifi.

So far I have:-

1. Deleted and set up her mail account on the iphone using the settings recommended from Sky's website. This means that when setting up the account I choose Other as opposed to Yahoo!
2. Uninstalled the mail app and reinstalled it from the app store, although it actually downloads it from the iCloud.
3. Reset her phone to factory and restored from a recent back up
4. Played around with the Thread settings on the iPhone.

I don't want to set up the Sky account by selecting Yahoo! as I feel she will be bombarded with Yahoo popups

I am loath to reset her iPhone to factory set it up as new phone and not add any apps.

I don't see why she should go through the inconvenience.

Each time I carried out one of these actions, all the expected emails appeared and the spaces disappeared only for the problem to return after a few days.

Come on Apple!

Sort it out.

There are enough people having this issue to be able to debug it.

I am willing to take my wife's iPhone into a Local genius store for them to reproduce the problem and capture logs from her iPhone and I won't charge them!

This problem is not exclusive to Older models.

Apple, are you listening?

This is More than frustrating. I have been an android user forever. I have had a Mac book pro and an iPad for years and finally decided to switch to an iPhone. I have total buyers remorse, the iPhone 11pro max is the worst phone I have ever experienced. The email “blanks” problem is ridiculous you think you have it fixed and the problem comes right back. I have spent an inordinate amount of time in the Apple store, on the phone with apple care and in TMobile with no resolve. Other than having a phone with better security I don’t understand why so many people like the iPhone... doesn’t even come close to how androids operate. I have had nothing but problems with my email since I got this phone almost 3 weeks ago. Feels like I just took a big bite out of a “Rotten Apple.”

I hear ya! Now, mine has gone a step further...I have to go down my “mailbox” list to click “All Mail” just to see my incoming emails! Very frustrating as it shows junk, sent, etc!😡

Another issue I am dealing with...when I “move” any emails to a folder, they stay in my inbox! Ticks me off because then I also have to remove them from inbox too!😡😡

Having the same issue, even received same reply from Apple: “...never heard of this issue...”. We have gone so far as to request our domain host look into the issue, no change over the past few weeks. Does anyone have a resolution that works? Thx

Sorry. This does not work. I’m never out of area. Always at home with WiFi. The account doesn’t show inactive. Have iPhone 7 plus. Must delete account and reactivate which affects account on PC. Then it starts all over again. Any other options?

A new phenomenon just started happening where all the emails in my @att.net account disappeared, my two gmail accts were okay. This was with a strong wifi connection. Rebooted phone and they reappear. Stupid Yahoo. Nothing catastrophic, just annoying.

i reboot weekly for good measure.

Just read ALL the responses in this thread. I now have low confidence that turning off the “Organize by Thread” will actually fix this issue. If not, I will return here to see if anyone figures this out

BTW...I have an iPhone XR running iOS 13.3.1 via Verizon and this an exclusively work phone that downloads Outlook emails.

I unchecked the Organize by Thread box and all my mail disappeared. It would be there for a couple of times when I opened the app, but after a while all the mail was gone.

Any other ideas out there?

I have been having this problem for almost 6 months. I have deleted the mail app completely, added it back, deleted my ATT/Yahoo email all to no avail. I have tried everything i can think of at this time

Having the same issue....definitely an att-iPhone connection

I’ve had the same problem. But I deleted my app and reinstalled only to have all the spaces still but now all my old email say no sender. 😕
