Hello I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of the blank messages in the mail app. After I delete some of my messages they tend to stay around but now are blank. I am not able to delete them over again. It will not let me do anything with them.

I have this issue on with my .att/yahoo account, Gmail seems okay. Here's a fix on an Xr:
Settings>Passwords & Accounts>select affected account>toggle "mail off", wait 10 sec>toggle "mail on">exit settings>open mail>refresh(swipe down)>should be good.
Option (if above struggles): toggle "mail off">exit settings>settings>PW & Accounts>select affected account>toggle "mail on">exit settings>open mail and refresh.
Not just ATT, I had Verizon (w/blanks), & switched time Sprint yesterday. Thought all was good, but...nope! The unrecoverable blanks are back! Ughhhhh
Not just ATT...had Verizon, now Sprint...they are still there! Very infuriating!!

Same issue on one of my mail accounts, but not the other. iPhone 10, Verizon. Been going on since updates to IOS last month. Let me know when issues resolved!
Same problem on my iPhone 10 XS. Very annoying! My 2 other mail accounts do not have this problem; only my Yahoo account.
I don’t think it’s the mail app. My iPhone 6 doesn’t do it but my iPad does. Both are on a wifi network and recognise each other so if it was the app both would have the problem.
Forgot to say I am using gmail.
Thanks Steve. I don’t know Spark other right than a telco in New Zealand. I am using gmail and my iPhone6 is ok but my iPad is not so I can’t believe it is gmail.
That didn't last. It has reverted to the spaces between emails again so that wasn't the answer. Any ideas?
I, too, have tried all I could think of! Nothing has worked...which is so frustrating!🤔😡
Although I have said this for a while now...I am hoping it will be fixed in the next update!
I have outlook (the old hotmail). It doesn’t happen on my older model iPad, only on my iPhone 8Plus. And there are quite a few blank spaces - !

I had the iPhone 6plus and that’s when it started! I had hoped that once I upgraded to an 11 it would end, but, nope! Still there!
I absolutely HATE these blanks!!
