While FaceTiming using my new AT&T iPhone 11, the phone disconnects from my home WiFi during the FaceTime, then reconnect as soon as I end the FaceTime. All software is up to date as of this posting.

OK so before I start explaining the fix. Let me first start by saying that I followed all and any solutions that was out on the web in terms of turn off this setting and turn this on and log in/out of this and etc. Nothing worked!!!! So I was able to finally get a really good expert person at Apple with 11+ years experience. This issue is related to anyone that may have done a transfer from iPhone to iPhone. The issue is that when backed up its pulling in corruption and causing the FaceTime to work properly. Good news / bad news is: Good news, there is a fix. The fix is to reset your phone and wipe the phone completely. When you restart the phone install as a new setup and not from a backup. The bad news is that you have to set it up as a new clean install and will need to re-download most of your apps. There are some apps that are standard that will pull just simply from cloud and things like your contact list and etc. I tested FaceTime on new install and it worked without any issues. It sucks because I have a lot backed up and now I had to reinstall a lot of my old apps and settings but it will ensure you have a clean backup moving forward and not a corrupt. Let me know how it goes for those that have had the same issue with FaceTime like I did (where wifi would drop as soon as it connected).

I don’t want to turn my Bluetooth off every time I get a FaceTime call. Just fix it so it doesn’t do that. What a stupid solution to a problem.
Its hard to believe that a bug this huge can still be in this OS for so long. And that there aren't more people complaining.

Me too. This is completely random and doesn't happen consistently, but it does happen from time to time and its annoying on iPhone 11. Why is this still a thing on iOS 13.3?

The same exact thing happens to me. I am on an 11 pro and every time I am on facetime I get kicked off wifi and it lags while switching to LTE. This needs to get fixed
My son had the issue on his iPhone 8 and now on my iPhone 8s....went to the Apple store and they tried to pawn it off on a VPN connection. Ridiculous for Apple to not address this issue.
