I just updated to Catalina. Now, I get a popup window with the following message:
"WSDaemon" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This is what I did and it went away
Open system preferences
Open security & privacy
Click general
A message window was present concerning the daemon.
Click allow in the message window

You are right....it did work. Now should I worry about malicious software?
I received an email from Webroot. It's a known issue on their side and are working on a solution. No ETA.
This did work. However noe my Webroot won't open it says it's open the icons there but it will not actually open the window. Any ideas?

Mine is also saying ‘...is an app downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?

was successful to eliminate the 'daemon' — Renaming WSDaemon to Daemon was the key for me.
Oh no! I just hit open! What do I do now? Help!
