I just updated to Catalina. Now, I get a popup window with the following message:
"WSDaemon" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

Mine is also saying ‘...is an app downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
safari opened it 1.26.15.

This message pops up on my login screen and will not allow my MacBook to launch into the OS. Any suggestions for that?
The problem is caused by Webroot's incompatibility with Mac OS Catalina.
I tried to uninstall Webroot and the process failed with the following message:
"The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items."
Any suggestions?
I think I figured it out. I went in to Finder and looked in my downloads while repeatedly canceling that dang message. I found it there and clicked on it. It brought up two icons. I clicked and dragged it down to trash one at a time. I think it’s gone! I bet I had to cancel that message at least 20 times until I could pull it into the trash. Let me know if this works for you too!
Contact Webroot. It's their app and their mess to clean up.
This did work. However noe my Webroot won't open it says it's open the icons there but it will not actually open the window. Any ideas?
