Echo on speaker calls and videos

Hi did u update your iOS people said it fixes the echo problem that has been ongoing

I got rid of mine though so I can’t tell you for sure I was looking to get another if the problem is fixed I’m just not sure

I proceeded to purchase an iphone 11 pro when positive reports of the beta 13.3.1 emerged on this issue. I have used speakerphone on 13.3.1 and have not experienced echo, and the other call participants have not mentioned a problem. Doesn't seem here that anyone is mentioning their cellular carrier, which could also be introducing a problem in their network. I am on AT&T and have not experienced the issue thus far.

iPhone 1? Do you mean the original iPhone? Those don't work at all in the US.

If you notice this thread has really slowed down, especially after iOS 13.3.1 which addressed this issue and for most people it worked. If yours and your wife's is not working, and you are running iOS 13.3.1, first thing to try is removing it from its case, then try the suggestion from Smile1517. Be sure to also click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page and report it directly from Apple.

This is a user-to-user technical support site, personally I don't care if you move to Samsung or not.

same here, wife and i both got iPhone 11’s and they both echo when on speakerphone unless the volume is turned down; person on other end hears there own voice like a phone from 2007.

might of fixed the problem

No it won’t help the issue is software 150 % I’ve tried everything even to refresh the ram is a big problem with the IOS just have to wait for the next beta if they fix it

I found a workaround

if you mute the speaker every time your not speaking it works

but it’s a big pain in the a to do that every time

but it doesn’t echo

If he is running a beta version that is why they have testers and he needs to report it. A “proper q/a chief” has nothing to do with it.

Or contact Apple, report it, volunteer to put a profile on your iPhone, and then wait for an update that fixes it.

Yes they have and Apple released it two days ago. Have you updated your iOS version?

Earlier I posted mine was fixed but I wasn’t aware that the person I was talking to was also had me on speaker. Mine works if BOTH are on speaker but not if I have contact on speaker and they don’t. Definitely an Apple issue. They should fix this or give us all new phones!

This is a situation with the phone themselves. I had the same issue, fortunately I had gotten a replacement from Apple. However that being said the replacement had more issues than what I sent back. Of course I called again and and this time I said I just want my money back.

I went thru Apple themselves to make my purchase.

maybe if everyone filed a BBB complaint about this it might make a statement. These phones are wayyyy to expensive to have this kind of an issue to be ignored.

No - I understand that some have had success with having their phones replaced (because not all of the new phones have the problem), but as another poster said there is no guarantee that the new phone is any better until you take it for a test drive.

I have had my phone since November 15th and the person on the other end hears an echo when I am on speaker phone. Read all of this and contacted support and they told me to bring the phone in. I also reported it on feedback. Everyone should do so. They are trying to attribute it to people’s cases. Ridiculous.
