Removed case and glass from LCD as Apple Support want. Problem still persists. I found that turning ON VoLTE helps! As long as phone is connected via LTE there is no echo; when it switch to 3G - it starts echoing. My carrier told me to turn off VoLTE. That that's all what they can do...

This a legit issue. My girlfriend and another family member both grabbed the 11 and Pro, we survive on Facetime as we're long distance, and the echo is persistent on EVERY call. They are both on two different major networks (though always using LTE) or using super fast Wifi. This issue never once existed on their old iPhones and we Facetime at least once a day for an hour minimum every day! Apple, you have to look into this.

apple is absolutely not taking this seriously. I brought mine into Apple yesterday (which in Atlanta is always chaotic and a terrible experience) and the diagnostic test they ran showed nothing on the hardware. So they insisted that we wipe the phone, erasing all of the content, and I had to add all of my apps back in manually as they said it then must be a software issue. That has been done and the issue persists so I called Apple today and got forwarded to a senior advisor…according to her, If I want them to do anything about it I either have to go back to the store again, or I can send my phone in but they won’t give me a loaner so I will be stuck without a phone. Who has extra phones laying around that they can just use? It’s completely ridiculous. And… Even though the technicians in store said it wasn’t related to Sim card and ruled that out the advisor on the phone today is insisting the testing be done to rule out it’s not the sim...ie they now want to blame carriers for this.

we are all getting hosed. This is so ridiculous for a 1000$ phone!!

I have an update to my situation. Last I had reported in this forum, was I had gone to Apple , they had found no hardware issues, they cleared my phone‘s software and recommended I manually install all of my apps. Then see if that helps which I didn’t. So instead of sending my phone in without a replacement or a loaner, I went back into the store again. They reran all of the same

tests. He said hardware was inconclusive. They replaced my phone as of a few days ago. Sad to report the problem still persists. The tech that I spoke with at the store said that If the new phone didn’t resolve the issue that Apple would insist it was a service provider problem. Not sure how they can attribute it to service provision when all of the other phones are working properly. Not sure where to go from

here other than report it again and keep commenting. SUPER annoyed along with the rest of you.

Cześć.

W Polsce mamy ten sam problem z rozmowami.  Sieć T/Mobile, Orange, Plus i Play. Apple zwala winę na operatorów. Wymieniają telefony na nowe ale problem nadal występuje.

Hi.

In Poland, we have the same problem with talks. T / Mobile, Orange, Plus and Play networks. Apple blames operators. They exchange phones for new ones but the problem persists.

I have gone through ALL of the troubleshooting possibilities mentioned here. I am on my second device. I still have The issue. It took Me a few days to muster up the energy to call and report it, yet again, to apple. And...to talk them away from putting me through all of the trouble shooting again. So I asked the “senior tech” about why they are associating this issue with a service provider. I said : explain to me how on a differ apple device with the same carrier can be a provider issue. She agreed it wasn’t likely. She did explain that there could be an interruption with WiFi calling and the LTE activated. So they had me turn off those features. Still an issue with echo though not as bad. That said...shouldn’t the most recent model smart phone have the capability to handle the most advanced calling technology??? If I shut off the WiFi calling and LTE it changes the capability of my phone completely. NONE of this makes any sense. #sadlymissingmy7plus

Same issue here on my iPhone 11 pro max. Every time I talk to someone and put them on speaker phone they complain about an echo. I tried resetting network settings, taking the case off, lowering the volume, and resetting the phone. today I even tried 13.3.1 beta and still having the same issue. Just talked to Apple support and they told me to bring my phone in.

Went to apple they replaced the phone with one in a white box

got home restored my phone

guess what still echoes

wasted a day doing this

it’s for sure the handsets

people aren’t complaining or it’s not a world wide problem because they prob don’t talk on speakerphone I’m guessing

I’m about to call Apple again And let them know it didn’t resolve anything

just wasted my time and my screen protector

from my old phone

  1. It’s not volume issue
  2. not the case
  3. not the network
  4. not SIM card
  5. its the phone

I have the 11 and my son has the 11 Pro. Both of our phones echo when talking on speaker & on FaceTime. I upgraded from a 6 and he upgraded from a 5 in December 2019. Very frustrating when we spent so much money on these phones! We have Verizon. Have taken our cases off and it doesn’t help. I see that a lot of these posts started back in October 2019. It is February 2020, and nothing seems to have been fixed. Apple, please correct this problem!
