Removed case and glass from LCD as Apple Support want. Problem still persists. I found that turning ON VoLTE helps! As long as phone is connected via LTE there is no echo; when it switch to 3G - it starts echoing. My carrier told me to turn off VoLTE. That that's all what they can do...

You're absolutely right, phones this expensive shouldn't have any issues, as far as I'm concerned. At the risk of repeating myself, I went back to my old Moto G6 Android phone, using a case, and using the speaker and I have no problems! I wanted this iPhone for the excellent camera and the overall quality it's supposed to have and I don't care bit to pay for it. But I care alot to pay that kind of money and have a problem like this. I have a relative that's thinking on purchasing the phone for me, they're big Apple fans, and if that doesn't pan out, then I'll be trading it in for a nice Android. I'll never entertain buying another iPhone again. And I mean no offense to any iPhone people out there.

Mine too and I’m disgusted. This phone is glitchie in a several ways but this by far is the worst issue.

It’s amazing to me that they would not test the speaker with the mic on this phone, because I do believe that’s the issue. I highly doubt this can be fixed easily and I feel that now I’m being forced to buy a pair of $200 EarPods. This is on top of the ridiculous price tag which normally I wouldn’t mind with an Apple product, but in this case this phone is nothing but frustrating since day one.

I contacted support and talked to a girl who offered to find the nearest Apple store ( an almost 2 hour drive away) or I could mail in my phone at my expense. I refused that, told her that I was just reporting the problem. I also reported the problem on feedback. I absolutely agree that it's ridiculous to blame the problem on cases. I always use a case on my phones. And with the price of an iPhone, I sure as **** want to use a case.

I contacted Apple support a couple days ago and reported the issue. They didn't ask for any serial numbers or anything like that, but they knew when I bought the phone. I didn't have to tell them, which was weird, seeing as how I wasn't using the 11 to report the complaint. But anyway, I did what you said and reported the issue and hopefully something will get done.

I was so hoping that it's a software issue. But, I'm inclined to think you're right, that it's a hardware issue. And no I don't see them recalling all these phones. I don't know what they're going to do. I just know that I'm paying for a phone I can't use, and it's making me sick! I contacted Apple support a couple days ago and they said I could mail it to them to be checked out at my expense or drive almost 2 hours to the closest Apple store. I declined on both of those because of other people getting new phones or whatever and still having the problem, which I explained to the lady I was talking to. She was very nice and said she would be upset too. I said I can't be the only one calling and complaining about this problem and she wouldn't confirm or deny.

I don't know if there is two microphones or not. You have a good point though. Right now though, I'm not using the phone. I went back to my Moto G6. I was hoping there would be a fix for it so I could go back to using the phone. I've switched the SIM card out two or three times with every update hoping the problem is fixed and it never was. So I'm just not using it right now, I'm paying for it still, but not using it. I'm waiting to hear if there's an update that will fix it before I start using the phone again. I'm just tired of going back and forth with it. I do update it every time there is an update though.

Yep! I did file a formal complaint couple days ago and feedback as well. I also over a month ago did that the reset iTunes thingy. It didn't work. I did skim over a article online with Forbes yesterday about using iPhone speakers while driving. The article said about it being potentially dangerous. Maybe with an article like that Apple will do something.

Wow!! No, this is not normal! I'm going to repeat myself again, when I use a cellphone, I use a case, and I always use the speaker. I have this problem with my iPhone 11, and have had this problem since day one! I now use my Moto G6 with a case and as a speakerphone and have NO problems!! I think this is a major problem, and Apple is not going to do anything because it would cost them a fortune to replace these phones. I was the first time iPhone user, and because of this, I am a last time user. This is very upsetting, these phones are too expensive to have this problem! I've contacted Apple by phone, not the iPhone by the way, and on feedback and get nothing. They want me to send my phone in at my expense, and I'm afraid to do that. So I feel stuck with a phone I can't use. Considering the price of these phones, that is extremely upsetting!

Apple is absolutely not taking this seriously. When your customers are paying for a 1,000 dollar + product, their issues should be your top priority. They just released a new software update, ios 13.3, which does nothing to fix this echo issue. Every person I personally know with an iPhone 11 pro is having this issue. Me, my mother, my roommate, and a few of my other friends as well. This is ridiculous!!!

I get so frustrated with the echoing that I literally want to throw the phone across the room! I can hear every single word I say to the person I'm talking to. I have had every top of the line iPhone since the 4 and I have never been so disgusted as I am with this 11 pro max! It is basically a brick since I can't even use it to call people without wanting to launch it across the room.

Exactly! Even though you can take pictures and play games and do whatever on these phones, it's still just a phone and you can't even make phone calls or receive phone calls without problems. That is the most basic of this phone and you can't even do that. If I wanted to just take pictures or play games, I would just get a camera and a game system, which combined, wouldn't cost as much as this phone.
