Mac Os Catalina do not sync photos with iOS Devices

Im using Mac OS Catalina 10.15, I have my photos on the Photos App, (I do not use iCloud photos).

To sync the photos, I connect the iPad to the Mac, open Finder (Since iTunes is gone), select the iPad from (locations) go to the right and click on Photos, select the albums and then hit sync. All the photos are not synced and apparently it syncs the albums under the root "My Albums" but is not able to sync the albums that are inside a folder.

Wow. Brilliant. It won't help everyone, but this helped me. I only wanted two folders of photos on my iPhone, the one of our cats and another album of selected photos. So, by moving those albums to sit under 'My Albums' instead of being sub-folders, I was finally able to get the photos I wanted on my iPhone.

Maybe this trick will help some others as well: if you can live with just a few albums on your phone, move them under 'My Albums' and then synch your iPhone through Finder.

Same issue here: unable to sync albums from imac pro to idevices. Very, very annoyed with Apple !

Best I've seen is that someone in this thread indicated that a rep they spoke with noted it was on their radar.... but far from indicating any timeframe.

Yep, I held off on any sync with my iPhone 11 pro max due to the issues with my iPad Pro...will wait for the fix before syncing the phone...will just do a backup in the interim ;-)

Do you have Photo Stream turned on? That is how I get my pictures into my MAC and from Photo Stream, I move them into their specific albums.

Zero, zip, nada, and now the calendar no longer works properly if you have not upgraded to Catalina.

An absolute disaster of an operating system, a complete failure!

More than disappointed in Apple.

Our hope (of everyone here who doesn't have or doesn't want his pictures in icloud) goes out to the update of ios 13.3.2 or 13.4 and Catalina planned for March.

In all the years I have been syncing my photos from my MAC to my iphone, the phone has never shown folders. It simply has a choice of albums from my MAC.

Bringing back Steve Jobs would be an easier mess for Apple to fix than this Finder syncing issues with the Photos app.

Hi, not really, after updating to Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4 and iOS 13.4 it start working, some photos do not sync but I think around 90% of the content of the folders is correct.
