what is navlibx

updated to Catalina last night. I have this persistent message that "navlibx" will damage your computer window that keeps coming up and won't go away? Any thoughts how to get rid of it?

I was experiencing the same issue of Navlibx error message stating 'may damage your computer'. This community's advise is that Navlibx issue is rooted in Symantec 7 (or prior) poor integration with Mac OS Catalina and that removing Symantec 7 resolves the Navilbx error message issue. I resolved the issue with the following steps. Navilbx error message is no longer occurring.

  1. Uninstalled Symantec by throwing its entire folder into the Trash and emptying the Trash
  2. Re-start Mac
  3. When Navlibx error message popped up next I went to its Finder Folder place, moved Navilbx file to Trash, emptied Trash
