what is navlibx
updated to Catalina last night. I have this persistent message that "navlibx" will damage your computer window that keeps coming up and won't go away? Any thoughts how to get rid of it?

It is malware or adware you installed, please download Malwarebytes and see if that will remove it for you.
That is incorrect! It did not come with Catalina you must have downloaded it previously and it just now is showing up.
Anyone have thoughts how to get rid of it, Norton Malwarebyes don't recognize it or remove it?
Isn't it just some Norton file? While it is a pain to keep seeing the msg, it is not a threat.
It seems like a false positive on a Symantec file that the new MacOS 15 is detecting.
Just another good reason to not install third party antivirus, cleaning and other "maintenance" apps!
I am not a computer person, but yes it looks like a Norton mess. Their tech support has been no help at all, which is highly unusual. Thanks for your time responding Dudeman-D
Thank you everyone for your collective input. I uninstalled Norton and it went away. I really appreciate everyone's time and help!
It certainly came in with Catalina. The date time stamp is the same as the install and the symptoms started right after the install.
Same... updated OS. It started as soon as it rebooted.
If you uninstall Norton (it's worthless anyhow) per the developers instructions your problem will go away!
thanks everyone! i already reinstalled the latest version of Norton and everything is back on track.
Hello - i don't have Norton on my system and its still popping up. Any other suggestions?
Same as Norton, it’s trash. Uninstall the Symantec software per the developers instructions.
I never installed any antivirus software- Norton or other - and I'm getting that message too!
