I am not going to upgrade until the battery issue plaguing IOS13.2.2 is resolved. Unless an update patches a severe vulnerability, I wait 30 days before installing new updates.

The icons were unresponsive and wouldn’t move. I uninstalled and reinstalled the apps but that didn’t help.

I turned off “Show Suggested and Recent Apps” under Multitasking & Dock for a few seconds and turned it back on. That seems to have fixed my problem. Time will tell if it is a temporary or permanent fix.

I have a 2017 ipad 5th gen 9.7 A1882. After upgrading to ipad OS, what occurs is, I can add items to the left side of the dock, or change those apps. This works fine for side-by-side.


Apps to the right of the divider are set as you use them. Any app there, will not open by touching that icon; one must find the icon among all of them. The only exception are system apps, like settings; those will open normally but touching the icon on the Dock.
