Catalina Music - playcount not updating

Is anyone else having the issue w/ Catalina and latest music app playcounts not updating? I'm also subscribed to Apple Music.

Playcount for a song is 0, play it, playcount is 1, close Music, open Music, playcount is back to 0.

Catalina's Music App: Maybe your app is broken, too? After 'upgrading' to Catalina very early this morning (October 8, 0800 hours), the Activity window in the 'new' Music app says "Cloud Music Library: Gathering information about your library." The task is supposedly finished, with the blue circle closed/filled. But it never... finishes. Also, if I try to actively play a song, I'm asked to log in to my Apple ID. Which I've done. Over and over. And I still can't actually use the app. Running on a RAM-maxed iMac, using very fast biz class broadband, so I know it's not the hardware or 'net connection. This is the fix for iTunes? Anyone else having issues like this?

Apple music keeps on crashing My apple music app keeps on crashing every time it plays one music and also every time it plays a music video for a few second. My mac is up to date .Catalina 10.15.6. This is really annoying

Music app always skips the same songs in a playlist, but will play if selected directly Hello, The new music app in OS Catalina keeps skipping a large number of the songs in the 'Up Next' queue. For example, if I shuffle a playlist with 101 songs in it, you can see the order of the songs that will be played in the 'upcoming songs' section, however when the song ends it skips to another one much further down the list. If I add some of these songs to 'Up Next', it skips over this song and plays a song much further down the list. However, if I click to play this song directly, it will happily play that song no problem. If I leave the playlist playing, it will only play around 15-20 songs before stopping completely. And they are always the same songs. I have noticed this happens with more than one playlist, so I'm assuming this is a bug of some sort. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Oscar

Is this with an Apple Music track or a track you added from elsewhere? I have had an issue since upgrading to Catalina that any Apple Music tracks the play count updates fine (although not always across devices, but thats another conversation!) but tracks I have added from a CD or elsewhere do as you report.
