Does anyone facing cracking sound or any kind of inference after connecting you MBP to any of bluetooth headphones?
After connected when i play a new song in youtube it starts with huge crack/disturbance kind of noise and it continuous..
I thought my bluetooth device has some issues, but it works normally on other devices.
I tried reset my bluetooth driver and restart my system, still facing the same issues.
I had exactly the same problem with my Sony WH-CH500 headphones and I found a partial solution. I used Bluetooth Explorer app and turned off aptX codec.
Now my headphones operate on SBC codec and everything seems to be fine. I'm not experiencing this loud, annoying and cracking sound anymore.
You need to turn off Bluetooth at first. Run Bluetooth Explorer, go to Tools, then Audio options and click Disable aptX. Close the program, turn on Bluetooth and reconnect headphones.

Just spent another hour on the phone to Apple support. This issue has been elevated to a senior advisor and he will be looking into it. I will update this thread if I get any news.
Not going to use workarounds on a 2.5k $ laptop.
They must fix it and get it working exactly as it worked before this fuking update.

I've the same problem with the Sony WH-CH500 headphones. Also they'll disconnect during a call on Microsoft Teams. Need to get this fixed ASAP.
Juup, same problem here. Also with the Sony WH CH 500. Problem is mostly present in Youtube videos and when switching songs..
I just had updated and I have Sony WH-CH500 and the same problem is happenig with me.

My girlfriend has this problem too. I thought it might me the headset ( Sony WH-CH500H ) but it worked well on other devices. I hope it will be fixed soon. That glitch sound is very annoying...

Thanks. That worked for me as well, but it's a shame we need to use an inferior codec to get bluetooth to work with Catalina.
This Is not a solution, It Is a workaround, and I don't want to use workarounds on a 2k€ laptop.
