Hey guys, I need a solution to this, it's doing my head in right now. I just upgraded my Macbook pro 2017 from Mac OS Mojave to OS Catalina. Everything went fine, but I found out that I can no long print word documents. I'm using Ms office 2016, and I can print from other apps like excel, PowerPoint and notes, except word. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the office 2016, but the problem remains. Please I need a solution, thanks.
If you’re not on 16.30 or later, patch, if you are on 16.30 or later, contact Microsoft Support, if you’re on 15.whatever, find the new autoupdate tool and load that and then patch.
I’ve strongly suggest directly asking Microsoft folks about this Microsoft app, too.
Before I uninstalled the office 2016, the print window comes up in the words app without the button to print. But when I uninstalled and installed it back, the print window doesn’t come up again. If you click on print, nothing shows up.
Clicking on Print from the toolbar? Does Cmd-P behave the same way?
It sounds like Word is failing to load a library. Does Page Setup work? Does Print work with another printer?
There may be something useful in Console if you filter for Word, Microsoft, and/or print.
For me it is that nothing happens.
File / Print, or CMD-P, it makes no difference. No problem printing from any other App, just not MS Word. I have version 16.29.1 (19091700). CMD-P will briefly highlight the File menu button, but no other acknowledgement or outcome.

Microsoft states 16.30, or later.

It might not solve the printing from Word problem, but if you need to print the document and it still isn't working try saving the file as a PDF and then print that. I do that (but from Pages not Word) at work a lot. Could be a workaround while you wait to hear back from Microsoft about the problem.
