iPhone Mail email intermittently truncated when replying or forwarding, so the email thread is missing

Office 365 and Exchange 2013/2016 users are getting intermittent truncated emails when replying or forwarding. This is affecting iOS 12 and 13 and all iPhone and iPad models. If the user doesn't notice the problem before sending the receiver only gets the header of the reply but no text body or previous threads. There is no root cause but it appears to be worse when the sender is on cellular and/or gets a lot of emails constantly and replies quickly. Please notify Apple if you're having this issue and encourage them to make a public posting about this issue. It appears to have started or gotten worse on or around October 4th

Fixes an issue where system search and search within Mail, Files, and Notes might not work

Addresses an issue where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view

Fixes an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background

Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts

Well, they didn't check really well because it is not really fixed. See my post above. The recipient does get a non truncated email, but the sent items show a truncated email. It takes 5-7 minutes before the body of the forwarded email appears in the sent items folder. Where did Apple. confirm it was fixed? Probably the same folks that released it in the first place?

Welcome news, the search fail was very frustrating too.

However, the truncated mail thing is only mentioned re: Exchange accts, so i guess the rest of us (most users?) are hosed still?

Also the mention of photos fail (in Messages detail view only) seems to not address the broader photos fail issue

Thx again, Apple, for breaking 35 yr old technology functionality..

Need a solution to this issue ASAP. Hampering my ability to make a living.

Another (related?) issue that started about the same time is attachments are embedding themselves in the body of the e-mail. This is very problematic.

I have seen the problem on iPhone 11 Pro Max with multiple users in this model. Not sure is we are seeing this problem in any other device models. Just want to rule that option though it does not look like that.

Same issue here. Very aggravating having to (remember to) manually insert the thread or otherwise go back & forth to everything previously referenced

how do we "notify" them? This is especially irritating and difficult to manage emails with this issue.

I agree, my boss didn't have this issue prior to it but only when she started iOs 13 or anything newer. She updated and is now using 13.1.3 and it's even worse.

My issue does not correlate w this notion whatsoever. My impression has been that others’ issues have also been unrelated. Not letting Apple off that easy..

Still an issue. I have users that are livid. This should be an easy fix but apple phone support gives you the run around. No, backing up and restoring my phone does not fix this issue.
