iPhone Mail email intermittently truncated when replying or forwarding, so the email thread is missing

It’s one of the most frustrating disadvantages of iOS 13 for both reply and fwd of emails. I typically have to try 10 or so times before it sometimes “works”.

If only Apple allowed the ability to roll back to previous software versions....

same here. Almost every single email I forward using Mail only has header, no body. This started with iOS 13. Never had problems before. 365 hosted exchange via Rackspace.

Apple enterprise support told me they have ID the root cause and working/testing on fix for it already, no ETA of course. So..... stay tuned.

One thought.  Is it normally when forwarding or replying to newly received mail?  Could it be connected to one of the other annoying problems with iOS 13 mail - not detecting new mail status correctly (in this case when deleting)?

No forwarded message has anything but the top of the original email note. Nothing from the body. It’s incredibly annoying, and happening on both my iPhone X and IPad running 1os13.

Apple, publicly acknowledge this problem with an enormous email client and fix it please.

The thing is, who has time to go back and then reclick on an email to actually send it!?? This is annoying and completely frustrating. And apparently, I've read that this issue has been on and off since 2009.

Its true, its a hassle, as is manually highlighting content to be included in a reply. The real offense here is that such basic, ubiquitous functionality is broken. Same w the issue (if you’ve come across it) w the inability to edit, attach, or import (into apps) photos now, in iOS 13. Decades-old technology now broken like a champ by Apple. Just wow...

I agree, this is driving me crazy. I have spent hours trying to google a solution but nothing.

i use my phone a ton for work and this is brutal and time consuming. I have to double check and reopen every email before I send it.

Apple has to fix this!

Same issue for me and many of my colleagues at work. Forwarded email content is missing or truncated since the last iOS update. Emails show as sent twice and occasional duplicates in inbox as well. Not syncing. Emails look normal for me but all previous content is missing for recipients (challenging for my team to act on missing info). I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times. It doesn’t help. Why am I being penalized for having a new iPhone @apple? Where is the fix?

our corporate help desk team can’t fix it and have offered installing the IOS App and webmail. Neither are practical solution. I send and receive more than 200 emails a day - 50% plus from my phone. Do I need a new phone? It’s been weeks Apple.

i also have the same issue with Iphone X. Some mails when forwarded, just have the header. Also after updating IOS to 13.1.2, auto update of mails does not happen. The badge shows 5 new mails, the new mails get downloaded only after the app is opened.

I urge everyone to keep this post going. Post all the issues. Let Apple know that this MUST be addressed soon. This is part of the reason I do not install updates when they first come out. Now apple is indirectly forcing you to up update your devices. We are feeling the repercussions there after.

Very disappointed in Apple. They have seen the problem on my iPhone with remote lookup.

Just a simpel answer, it is not our problem, you have to contact your Exchange Administrator.

So buy an iPhone, worth €1000,00 euros. You can hopefully make a phone call, but not from your car with bluetooth, mail is crappy. Have fun with the rest......

For € 1000 euro i can bay a few laptops with much more....

CRAP APPLE fix all issues

Did they give you any indication of the root cause? This is the first time they have acknowledged this. iOS 13.2.2 been released but don't think this will fix this issue. Plz keep us updated as they should have a case number against this.

I have the same issue - on WiFi. Sorry to say but Apple is working very hard on making me switch to another platform after 20 years of using them. With each so-called “upgrade”, we get new emoticons and other children-oriented pseudo-features, while core functionalities deteriorate. Very disappointing.
