Problems with purchasing in a game

Hello my name is Kellie Connolly & I just recently bought a $15 iTunes card for my games & I was successful with buying one thing & my amount was $10.24 left & when I went to buy another item it said my purchase could not be completed. Im confused on why. Hope someone will help me figure this out.
