I´ve created a slideshow on the photos app on mac OS and now want to export this as video. Generally this works well, just every single video that is included in the slideshow is being cut off at about 1 second. I was hoping that the videos could be seen in full length and not treaded as a static photo slide. I´ve tried to adjust the total length of the slide show to be longer, hoping that the videos would then be shown in full length, but unfortunately it´s the same problem. Anyone experiencing the same problem ? I would gladly create the video in iMovie, but I spent so much time on creating slideshows with titles in Photos already that I would not want to redo this entirely. Maybe there is an option to transfer a photos slideshow to iMovie directly ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Martin

Are video files able to play in full with Photos slideshows anymore? I've been making slideshows in Photos for years but had an older Macbook Pro and hadn't updated it in a long time. Using a new 2020 Pro now and I've been trying to create a slideshow but the video files are playing as if they're a still photo. When a video comes on, it plays a second of the clip only. I did a search on this and I know it's been asked a couple times but there weren't any answers except for one that said that only the "classic" slideshow option would now allow play full length videos so I tried that but it still truncates the videos. I haven't rendered a video yet and have only previewed so I don't know if it just can't preview but I can't imagine that would solve anything as the preview option previews the videos to the time duration that one sets. Anyway, if anyone knows a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. If they've limited the ability for Photos to handle slideshow capabilities in this way, is there a good alternative besides iMovie? I don't feel like having to manually create all those transitions and things like Ken Burns effects on every photo file. Thanks.

Slideshow in Photos 7 for Maverick does not fill the screen Why is there a black border on top and bottom when I play a slideshow in Photos? I would expect it to fill the screen as completely as possible, and thus only leave space on the sides if the format dictates that. Instead it creates an ugly big black border all around the picture. Resolution of the photos are higher than the screen, so that's not it. And I'm asking about the regular slideshow option, where you select a bunch of pictures and 'Play slideshow' There's probably more options with the silly slideshow project feature, but that's way too cumbersome for just quickly wanting to look at a few photos fullscreen

What theme are you using? I just tested a slideshow with two videos and a number of stills. The stills played for the time I set in the Duration section:

and the video played in full. This was with the Classic theme.

I used the Ken Burns theme; I changed to Classic theme and all worked perfectly! Thank you.
