Can't login into Apple Music in Mac (late2013) macOS Catalina

Having the same exact issue... just started today.

Yes - same issue on MacPro with 10.15.1 -- can't use Apple Music or Apple TV - as of yesterday. You can sign-in but nothing happens and menu-item stays at "Sign-in" - NOT "sign-out' :(

Did you get a response from Apple on this? I am having the same issue. The same issue applies to the new Podcast app as well.

Also having the same issue, would be intrigued to see what Apple's solution to this is! Seems it is becoming a universal problem, although apple music weirdly all ok on my phone (touch wood)

Same thing,i cant login to music or tv. cant watch media from computer on phone like i was. This all changed it seems this past weekend, thats when i lost functionality.

After creating another admin account that was able to login to Music, support had me install a clean copy of macOS Catalina, but it made no difference.

So it sounds like they indicated the fix will be in the next update. Did they confirm this to you?

Podcast app is also synching my old lists.

Confirming that all 3 apps now working for me.

SOLUTION!

1. Open the Terminal app on your Mac
2. Enter sudo -v
3. When prompted, enter your Mac password and hit Enter
4. Enter killall -9 accountsd com.apple.iCloudHelper hit Enter
5. Type defaults delete MobileMeAccounts, hit Enter
6. Type rm -rf ~/Library/Accounts, hit Enter
7. Enter killall -9 accountsd com.apple.iCloudHelper hit Enter

You should then be prompted with a message that states “no matching processes found”. Once that message appears, reboot your Mac. This removes all of your iCloud accounts logged into the Mac along with removing them from the affected applications.

After your Mac has finished rebooting, sign into your Mac, and then head over to the following apps and sign in:

• Music
• TV
• Podcasts

Hi. Thank you very much for your post. I followed all of the steps and I have gotten a lot closer thanks to your post. I am still stuck though as my Apple music seems to stay in the connecting status and does not ever connect. Are you familiar with this issue? Same issue for Apple TV, the video starts and freezes.
