Battery Indicator stuck at 100% All day

My battery indicator stays at 100% and then will die without warning. Has anyone had this issue? It started doing this within 2 weeks of receiving the watch, the update (6.1) did fix it temporarily and then a couple of days ago, it started again.

I sent my Series 5 into the repair center (well, my Apple Store sent it there) and it bounced back from them after a couple days, saying they couldn't replicate the problem. They were useless. It's like the Apple Watch falls into this gulch, as far as Apple support goes. It's the only thing they can't try to fix in the store, at their own Genius Bar. And they weren't that happy with the Apple repair center either. Before I read about the turn it off for 15 min and then back on again, I had literally tried every single thing except getting a new watch (which the store said I couldn't get, since Apple Care didn't cover a repair when they couldn't find the problem). But I've read about people here who got new ones and it didn't help the problem. I've restored from previous, from scratch, put it in the freezer (worked a couple days), taken it to the Genius Bar three times and talked to support in Cupertino (I pay $500 a year for Joint Venture Business Support) and the only consistent thing I ever got was that it was a software issue. No updates ever helped. My previous four Apple Watches, each of the series, didn't have this problem. But then I did the 15 min off and back on (I can't remember how much it was already charged when I did that. I think I did it when it had said 100% for 24 hours and I knew it would in the next 6 hours just randomly die. I haven't had any problems since then and that's been around 2-3 months ago that I did it. If anything, it uses up the battery a tiny bit faster than it used to.

Lately I have been using the timer on my phone to keep track of how long the Series 5 watch is on the charger and trying to keep the total charge below 95%. It does not seem to matter.

I often take the watch off the charger, note the battery charge level, then turn off the watch for 15 minutes. When I power the watch back up I check the battery charge level again. Almost every time it is somewhere below where it was before being turned off.

For example, today it was at 97% when I turned it off; and at 94% fifteen minutes later when I turned it back on.

So the next day (dec 4), the battery was at 86%. I didn’t believe it so I did an ecg to work the battery. It ran but right after the watch powered off. Dead battery. I put it on the charger and after a few minutes rebooted and showed 17% battery. Very disappointed with Apple at this point. Bought nov 11, 2018. Battery good for one year????

I have the same problem. My Apple Watch Series 5 (44mm) on OS 6.1.1 is only one month old and this problem started a week ago. and got worse. I have tried all of the suggested points on other comments several times but still stuck on 100%. After decoupling and setting as a new watch, the indicator did start to reduce down to about 75%. I charged it up to 100% at 11pm, after wearing it for 13 hours, it is still on 100%. The other issue with this, is that if I put it on charge, I don't know whether or it us actually charging, or how long to leave it on charge, as it immediately shows full green on the charging indicator. Please can you tell me what you did to rectify it yours. This is very disappointing from Apple, after reading so many complaints about this going back several years. I hop yours is still working.
