I purchased my AirPods Pro few days ago and noticed that the lid it can shift left and right along the hinge and kind of creaks if you do it. Not sure if it’s a defect on my unit or just the build quality.
I already changed mine once at the Apple store and the new pair has the same issue.
People who have bought the AirPods Pro, do you have the same problem?
Update and happy new year people. So apple and i had a little chat and they said that loose lid is a quality issue and it is not possible that in any way consumer could have caused it and yet my airpods are out of warranty they are willing to provide me with a new free of cost replacement case i argued that i am not the only one affected and that these are 250$ airpods and if this is an apple issue you cannot charge another 100$ for a quality issue which worsens overtime. Hope this answers everything.

Yes. I returned mine and the new ones are just the same. My wife has 2nd gen. Airpods and they are more solid feeling and the case is a quality one. This is disappointing and not sure what to do.
My case moves left right and little bit back and forth too. You case moves back and forth too?
Same thing with me. I have a friend who got the engraving and his seems fine but all the other pairs without engravings seem to be loose.
im writing this from november 2020 and ive just boight some and have the exact same problem it has not changed
same issue, look like apple is not a really perfectionism after all. My local reseller won't bother to replace for me, just said it was wear and tear part.
Hasn’t been handled by their quality control standards. Just got a pair and it has the annoying, clicking wiggle. Ludicrous for a product of this price.
The service center told me it's normal to have this issue, unacceptable.
Just purchased a pair Airpod pro from Wal Mart and Im experiencing the same issue. Sadly it's only been 2 months and I have only used these a few times. Disappointed in the build quality.

Yes I have the same exact problem. I’m so disappointed. I spent 250 and tax which is almost 300 bucks and this piece of tech doesn’t feel pro or solid at all. In fact the old AirPods 2 or the original AirPods were far better as far as the build quality is concerned. I’ve always loved apple products even thought they are expensive. But this one just feels cheap. I need a solution for this.
I'm having the same issue with my AirPods Pro case. I bought them 4 days ago on May 19th 2020 and right out the box the case is rocking left to right and creaking, it sounds terrible just by picking it up, it’s driving me crazy. For nearly $300 it shouldn’t feel like a made in China knock off. I love the AirPods but is very disappointed with the defective case, I’m returning it as soon as possible for an exchange.
I’m coming from the 1st Generation iPod With wheel, then the shuffle and iPod video 80Gig, which still works great and that’s just naming a few. I’ve owned every category of product coming up the line and I’ve never encountered a faulty product until this Pro case. Why start now Apple, when you have so much competition? I stayed with you because of quality and durability.
My too I just bought them I think apple don’t have any equality control because when I contact them their answer is ridiculous they said it does not affect the features then it is fine but I’m as a costumer I’m not happy so if u planning to buy a headphone go git Samsung ones or Hawaii they got better equality control and costumer care
I agree Brooklyngabe I just sat back and pondered what if the lid was tight or too tight it wouldn’t have no flexibility and it would eventually loosen up anyway from normal usage and is it really that bad seriously 😒
