Anyone not receiving in app purchase receipts from Apple?

I get the confirmation email of purchase but although the email address is correct I don’t receive the receipt by email after several days. I know I can look at purchase history. However I need the receipts.

I know the email address in Apple ID is correct and I used to receive them but they have stopped. There is nothing in spam or junk. My ISP has not blacklisted the address. I do receive the confirmation of purchase from iTunes after the purchase but not the receipt.

I have spoken to support and they even looked at things remotely. They are still investigating.

Does anyone have this problem?

I have the same problem since October 2019.

Try this on iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.
  4. Scroll to Purchase History and tap it.

Finally tap RESEND

Worked for me with Gmail.

Purchase history for iCloud, iTunes & App Store only goes back to October for Apple ID. If receipts continue to not be sent in the future no one will be able to resend them for months before October. All purchases from Apple should have customer receive receipt immediately without having to request resend from Apple. Many people are not even aware they are not receiving receipts from Apple for iCloud, iTunes & App purchases. Apple for years sent receipt automatically for purchases then by end October 2019 they stopped to January 2020. It’s not been addressed or fixed by Apple. All customers being forced to go search down purchases & resend receipt they never received initially from Apple is wrong. With Apple TV, family sharing of iCloud, iTunes & App customers deserve to have Apple send receipts. When you make a online purchase you deserve a receipt. When your credit card or even iTunes gift card account is charged for anything you deserve a receipt from Apple. This problem is becoming worse the longer it goes on. Apple employees are not even aware it’s happening when you do contact support about it & therefore they are of no help to Apple customers. I first saw a Tweet about the subject which made me check if I had received receipts & saw I was not having Apple send them. Like many customers I pay Apple with multiple payment methods & not receiving itemized receipts for purchases including tax paid from Apple just makes me not want to spend money on Apple. Therefore I am returning 3 new products I purchased from Apple over confining problems with Apple. Not sure but how can you back up Apple devices if they got rid of iTunes to computer? Seems people are being forced to spend more money on iCloud by Apple design & engineering & money spent is not respected by Apple customers are paying. Imagine if any other company like Amazon didn’t send receipt for purchases if there are disputes about purchases what will customers do with no receipt. Theoretically if you didn’t receive a receipt for a purchase from Apple & paid money you can do a dispute with credit card for amount. Apple credit card isn’t failing badly at doing disputes correctly on merchandise purchased & never received from merchants if they do partial credit. Apple credit card isn’t forcing customer to pay in full even if they never received merchandise & only partial refund for purchase from merchant. Which is unheard of in disputes & shouldn’t be allowed by Apple credit card. Apple is profiting more then ever from customers in many ways & they do not respect money being paid to Apple when they do not send customers a receipt for their purchases for months.

Hey all, I have a problem that I was curious if maybe tied into this problem, so while it's not exactly on topic I'm still going to ask in case anyone else has experienced this since the receipts problem started.

The Problem is: I have about 4 specific albums which won't load the contents in the music apple on Apple TV, 4, and 4K. The album contents load fine from the Mac either iTunes, or Music, and Music on iOS. Both Apple TVs are running TVOS 13.3, and the Mac is running Catalina 10.15.2, and the iPhone / iPad are on the corresponding 13.3 version of the os.

The Problem I have on the Apple TV(s) is when clicking on the albums to view the contents, I simply get the white screen with a spinning gear, and nothing loads. I've tried a restore / update on both units in case it was bad cache / data, and to ensure I had a clean install of the latest TVOS, however the problem persists, but only with those particular albums.

What's strange is, two of them were purchased before the receipts issue started, 2 were purchased after.

Also, the albums will play via Music on Apple TV either buy requires of Siri, or simply selecting the album, and pressing the Play button on the Siri remote. The issue is simply not being able to load the album info.

Was wondering if anyone else here has experienced this, and if you were able to resolve it. I haven't figure out how to, yet.

Thanks.

Same issue here on January 15, 2020. No receipts since early November 2019. I didn't realize it until recently. I was actually hoping that we weren't spending any money in the App Store. It turns out we have spent a lot of money in the App Store and I had no idea (and no receipts to track, monitor, and budget).

I did get on chat with Apple Support today only to get the typical responses; check Spam folder, make sure the right email is on the account, etc. After confirming all of that, they did confirm that receipts *should have* been sent to me.

They said they reset something in the system I *should be* getting receipts again from now on. What I did after the call was go in to my account and resend all the receipts for the last 3 months (and it was a lot).

Something tells me I am going to have to manually check the account and send receipts to myself every few days (or at least once a week) until this issue is resolved.

I'm using Gmail and have not had any issues (at least not with getting receipts) before November of last year. Hoping Apple takes this seriously (I'm not sure of the law but is it a law that people have to be automatically given or sent a receipt/invoice upon purchasing?).

No receipts for Apple subscription payments, Apple iTunes & App Store purchases since end of October 2019. Can’t resend receipts for Apple subscription payments, like possible with iTunes & App Store purchases. Noticed resend receipts from Apple purchase history doesn’t go past October 2019 for Apple ID. No receipts from Apple continuing past January 2020, will it even be possible to resend receipt from Apple purchase history? If a purchase is made online merchant must send a receipt for purchase. Online Apple purchases when credit card or iTunes pass is being charged, means Apple needs to send customers receipts. Not heard of anyone who has got receipts after end of October. Which means Apple has a lot of customers for 3 months who have gotten no receipts & Apple has not addressed the issue with customers or publicly. Which could cause class action lawsuit against Apple by customers.

Update: Still not receiving receipts automatically I still have to go to my account and resend them.

I did send in a report to apple and did get a case number and response. I also linked this discussion thread to the report.

The first response was the usual "did you check your mail's spam or junk folder"

I replied that there was no filtering problems and that I I had to resend the receipts in order to get them.

The Second response was:

Apple has received other reports of this issue and we are currently investigating. We appreciate your patience while we work to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Karl

So for what it is worth. Apple appears to be working on it.

Joescro, you should be able to find the iCloud storage receipts in iTunes. Launch iTunes, go to Accounts menu, and select View My Account. Once the Account page loads, scroll down to Purchase History. You will see a small blue See All to the right, click on that. You should then see all your purchases chronologically, including iCloud Storage.

When you find the Order you want, click on the blue Order Number on the right. It will show the entire order, and an option Resend at the bottom of the transaction. I have successfully managed to retrieve my receipts this way until Apple gets it together.

iOS 13.3, settings, Apple ID, subscriptions

“Receive Renewal Receipts. Off><On

A receipt will be sent to you each time one of your subscriptions renews. Receipts are always available in Apple ID settings> Purchase History.”

I do not remember this setting being here from October 2019 to February 2020. I would have never turned it off. Don’t know what default setting is off or on? Unlike many settings like turn off in app purchases which is buried under screen time content & privacy restrictions. This setting is located in place & way it could be turned off by accident. Just checking your subscriptions. Apple just makes too much money of mistakes through iTunes, App Store, subscriptions by customers.

This is wrong of Apple to do after Apple Card. Forgotten subscription can cost consumers huge amounts of money a year automatically charged to a credit card. Apple is intentionally trying to make customers not get a receipt to not know their subscription renewed & their credit card or Apple Card was charged or their iTunes Card has money taken from it.

It’s intentionally deceptive without Apple even acknowledging what they did to customers for months sending no receipt.
