Booting new mac

Just bought new macbook 2017-mqd32-01-2, when I turned it on it gets stuck at the country selection screen, cursor also freezes, what should I do.

MacBook Pro freezes during macOS Monterey update I have a 2017 MacBook Pro with touchbar. i have tried to install Monterey at least 7 times. including in safe-mode. every time, during the restarts, my macbook pro will not turn on until the battery dies. Once that happens, it wants to start the install over. i have deleted the installer 4 times and redownloaded. There are no errors, just locks up until the battery dies and I then plug it back in. Cursor frozen I updated macbook air os from high sierra to monterey last night and when i started my laptop today in the morning, cursor is frozen at one corner of the screen. While starting the laptop the cursor is moving everytime on the page which asks for password for laptop. But post singing into the system, cursor gets frozen at one corner. Tried smc and nvram method but it didn’t work out for me. Tired restarting, and rebooting too but that didn’t help either. Please help!!

Macbook freezes since upgrade to Monterey This OS is causing me endless problems. Is this common with others? If this update buggy?

Take it back to the store and get another one or have them get it going and do the setup there with them if it was from a Apple store.

Although rare, what you experienced with your new Mac is still possible and I would second fyip's comments to take your Mac back to the Apple Store. You have 14 days from the time of purchase to have it replaced or refunded ... should either be necessary.
