I cannot get Dolby Atmos to show as an option on my Apple TV 4K. Updated software on both devices, quick start turned on, Atmos works fine with my other devices including my blu-ray player and automatically recognizes the format. Read several forums but have not found a solution. Using 7.1.2 setup with my Pioneer Elite SC85 receiver
Is your Apple TV connected directly to the receiver (as opposed to via any devices in between)?
Play audio in Dolby Atmos or surround sound on your Apple TV - Apple Support
You receiver should support Dolby Atmos in PCM Multichannel (Dolby MAT) as input, as that is what Apple TV sends.

It is directly connected to the receiver. It is currently in Pure Direct audio mode so I will try PCM
