iOS Mail is not removing unread button

Since iOS 12.3 or 13.0 iOS Mail has not removed the unread mark when a new mail is opened consistently... it does sometimes and more often does not

Update to iPadOS 13.6 results in emails marked as unread Last night I updated my iPad to OS 13.6. Since then, when I open an email in the Mail app the email remains marked "unread", forcing me to mark the email as "read". I can open an email and just use the "next/previous message" buttons to move back and forth between all emails; regardless, all mail that was marked as unread remain marked as unread even using this method. I have not updated my iPhone or iMac just yet, but I cannot replicate the problem on the iPhone. Suggestions/recommendations? Many thanks!

Mail marking as read when not read. How do I stop mail on my iPad Pro from Immediately marking an email as read when scrolling or trying to move it to a folder?

Hello,

Try updating to iPadOS 13.3 to see if it resolves your problem.

It took 3 full point updates until this problem was fixed, but it works right now...
