Upgraded to Catalina 10.15.2 and now no ethernet
I have wifi but no ethernet. Network preferences say "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the internet." Does anyone know how to fix this?

WiFi is Ethernet. It’s just not over a wire (or fiber).
I would restart modem and router, then I would restart, then try reinstalling the OS.

Restarting modem then computer fixed it thank you.
I have the same issue after installing 10.15.2. No cabled or wi-fi internet connection.
I have restarted the modem, router and computer many times?
