Trouble syncing iPhotos to iMovie

Does anyone know how to refresh or sync iPhotos that are stored in iCloud within iMovie on a MacBook Air? I can't get all of the photos/videos that are stored in iCloud to become available there. Thanks!

IMovie and ICloud Connection I have a MacBook Pro and would like to use iMovie on the computer to create home videos. I have not populated my photos on the computer as I am concerned that I will use up most of the space- my library is huge. My photos and videos are all backed up on iCloud. Is there a way to easily connect to those iCloud photos to pull them into iMovie for use? Thanks!

Photo library not synced with photo app Hello, So I just got this problem. I opened iMovie (on the M1 MacBook Air) and the "Photos" Library only has a couple of pictures. These pictures are actually the pictures that are in my "Pictures" folder on my Mac. But the problem is that the "Photos" Library does not have the photos from iCloud (that is synced on this MacBook Air and is set as the System Photo Library). So, in the "Photos" Library in iMovie, I have everything except the Photos from the Photos app... Thank you.

iPhoto on mac not syncing with iCloud Hi Friends, Looking for some help/advice. My Mac iPhotos are not syncing with iCloud as a matter of fact, it states the last sync was June 1. I am not alarmed as all of my photos show up on my iPhone/iPad/iCloud online just not my Mac. I read an article on line about how to force a sync by deleting this folder in my iPhoto account: private/com.apple.cloudphotosd/CloudSync.noindex Unfortunately I do not have this folder?? For safety I did make a copy of my iPhoto library on an external drive, in a perfect world I would like to have my Mac library sync with my iCloud account so all my photos appear. I am running macOS Big Sur version 11.5 & iPhotos version 6. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

That article doesn't mention iCloud. If you have a photo in the iCloud website, but don't have iCloud Photos turned on for your Mac, you can download from iCloud. Download iCloud photos and videos
