Netflix code 11800

I received an Apple TV 4K everything works fine except when we watch Netflix an error code of 11800 keeps coming up. Sometimes right away sometimes minutes or hours between messages. I’ve contacted Apple, Netflix and my internet service provider done all the steps of deleting app, unplugging machines, restarting and resets. Nothing. Does anyone have any other options before returning product to the Apple Store?

The Netflix Help Center page on this error code also suggest that it could be related to DNS, thus your network settings, your router and/or ISP.

The fault is not in the hardware, thus returning the device won’t make it any better.

This is beyond just the internet, it is also based on the local network. Other devices working does not alone rule that out. Did you check the DNS setting specifically on Apple TV as that is what commonly results in that error if it is not set to auto. Did you run a diagnostic report, what were the results? Did you test on another network?

If it came down to the Netflix app then that is still not based on hardware and comes down to Netflix and their app, which could easily occur on any platform when their app is facing issue on a particular platform.
