Retina MacBook Pro severe eyestrain and pain

Hi, i've seen a lot of threads about this but none seems to be active right now. I'm a new rMBP owner and i'm suffering with eyestrain, i don't know what is causing this but i would like some help on this..

I own a non Retina MBP 2010 and this model does not hurt my eyes at all, i can literally spend 24/24 using this one and i don't feel tired and my eyes do not hurt at all.

On my Retina MBP 2014 i can barely spend 30 minutes.. what is this and why? I used to say to all my friends using Windows based computers to switch to Apple cuz all the eye's problems would be gone and now i'm feeling the pain i used to feel back when i had a 19ms refresh rate LCD monitor back in the days.

Need help.. Should i just sell the mac?

It is indeed Apple's fault, This is related with the display they used.. Yes millions of users are not having issues but u can't deny that some are reporting the same, me and the others affected.. yes we are a minority and yes we do have special vision capabilities but that means we should be ignored? Or should Apple take action and make their labtops compatible with us and all the rest of you?? I'm not asking to anyone to take any action at this point.. i'm just asking for some technical details about the items so i can figure which one i can buy..

If you can't provide me that information please don't bother participating in this thread. This is related with the backlit on the display or something like that. I'm trying to figure it out and i thought this would be the place to find some answers.

The one standing on the right side, but this was never about readability or discomfort by focusing on the text. The pain comes just by looking at the screen.

I tried all the scaled options, nothing helps.. I can look at my Mid 2010 1680x1050 glossy display for 24h without taking a single break and i feel absolutely no pain, my eyes never dry.

I love the Retina Macbook but there's something that stops me from using it, i need details.

Are you using Light mode (directly comparable to your old Mac display) or Dark Mode, which is VERY different?

There is a check you can do to check for flickering of any display. Focus on the top corner of the bezel, and leave the actual screen in your peripheral vision. Any flickering of the display will be MUCH more obvious in your peripheral vision than your central acute vision.

Most users of these computers are NOT having your symptoms. They are using these screens with impunity, and loving them. Fishing for latent defects in the screens as a class is not likely to be productive. But having your specific display checked to be sure it is working correctly may be productive. You can get a free checkup by making a free Genius Bar appointment at an Apple-owned store. (You will have to have hardware-oriented complaint, or you will get sent to read more articles instead.)

When everything else in the loop fine, and you are the only component having a problem, the part that may needs closer examination may be YOU.

My roommate in college was having problems with headaches and vision, and eventually went to see an ophthalmologist, MD. After exam, the guy said, "Your glasses are fine, but you have chronic conjunctivitis. Use this ointment for a week and you will be fine." It was a complete surprise for all.
