I have an iPad Pro 11" 2019 running iPadOS 13.3 and noticed recently its suddenly unresponsive at times and sudden ghost touches when the screen is not being touched.

This is a well known issue here in these iPad communities.

Take a look at these long standing, longer posts on the subject of this intermittent, unresponsive touch screen issue.

There is STILL no “official” confirmed solution/fix from Apple, to date!

If you have paid, extended AppleCare+, you might want to bring your iPad into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and potential options.

Same issue. I got an iPad Air Generation 3, brand new. Had to return it, just within the 90 day period. Now I have a brand new one, because they replaced my first one. Same exact issue. I use my iPad for gaming, so it RUINS my gaming. It usually starts happening about 20 minutes into playing and at that point, it makes playing the game literally impossible. It's Call of Duty Mobile and I have learned that a TON of other people are having the exact same issue. It's infuriating. I've done hard resets, I've spent at least 50 hours of time troubleshooting, googling, researching, you-tubing. Nothing works, nothing helps and it's rather disgusting to see Apple has been aware of this for years and hasn't done anything to fix it. I've been an Apple user and huge fan of Apple for 15 years and this is the first time I've seen Apple treat an issue like this. They are just ignoring it... very sad. Especially when it takes away the only thing in life I really enjoy anymore. (Sad, but yeah, I'm a loser and this is all that keeps me going.)

This has been a known issue in these communities for over a year, now.

This is both an iOS 12 and iPadOS 13 issues with a growing minority of iPad Pro models across all 3-4 model years.

Your iPad Pro may be one of the minority units affected.

Try the new hard reset procedure for the new 2018 iPad Pro models.

1. Press and release the volume UP button.

2. Then immediately press and release the volume DOWN button.

3. Then, press and hold the Power button at the top. You will see the Slide to Power off button, but keep on holding down the Power button until you see the Apple logo, then let it go.

Once you have performed all the steps, wait for a few seconds and your 2018 iPad Pro will boot up completely to the iPad Pro’s Lock screen.

Good Luck!
