iPad Air 3 and Spectrum Mobile

I just bought an unlocked iPad Air 3 with wifi + cellular. Spectrum Mobile says it's incompatible with their network but they sell the same device. Any ideas why it doesn't like my device?

I have. I went into the Spectrum store to activate it (I bought it at the Apple store) and they said their system says it is incompatible. I called their customer service and spoke to a rep and her supervisor, who both said it should work and they have no idea why it won't. It may very well be a Spectrum problem, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.
