iPhone 7 WiFi Calling not working

Both my wife and I have iPhone 7s with T-Mobile Service. I am traveling and the house we are staying at has no service. It does have WiFi. When we return to the house, both of our phones connect to the wifi automatically. My wife's iPhone 7 connects to the T-Mobile Wifi service automatically within a minute or so. My iPhone 7 does not connected to WiFi calling unless I power cycle the phone.

HELP!!!

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Hi Mike,

Looks like you need the WiFi calling piece to work while you are traveling and staying where you are. I recommend trying the following-

  1. See if Force ReStarting your iPhone works and here is how to do it - Force restart iPhone - Apple Support (Use the instructions for your iPhone model which is an iPhone 7). If after the Force ReStart is completed and it does not work as you expected then try the next step which is,
  2. Reset Network Settings - Go To Settings-->>General-->>Reset and tap on Reset Network Settings. Note that this reset will erase all Wifi Network and Password information and you will need to enter the passwords again as you connect.

Hope that helps.

hello, mike

it seems like you need to tweak a few settings to fix the issue you have.

you may go with his process.

#(needless to say, not every phone has this option. either your phone can be too old or your wireless carrier doesn't support it )

>> Go to setting =>>Tap Cellular=>> Now, tap WI-FI calling==Turn on "WI-FI on this phone" as well as "prefer WI-FI while Roaming"

(make sure to use an emergency address. If it has not provided yet. )
