Security Update 2020-001 High Sierra

I installed security update 2020-001 on High Sierra and now I can only boot in safe mode. When trying to boot normally I get the apple logo and a progress bar that gets about 75% of the way before the machine restarts and tells me there was an error starting and then the process repeats.


I can boot in safe mode and have run disk utility and turned off login items but the problem persists. Any suggestions?


I have verified that the security update did install.

All 4 are pointing to xpcproxy, that's a built-in component of OS X's protection.


I'd say a Reinstall of the OS is needed or...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.
