Wi-fi: internet sharing keeps dropping off and on

Hi there,

Don't know if anyone here knows a solution to this, have been searching but can't really find the exact problem I'm having being talked about. I use internet sharing from my macbook ethernet connection to my Samsung mobile phone, but after every couple of minutes or so, the internet connection seems to drop. After a while it goes back on again (or the wifi resets automatically thus making the connection again). It also immediately comes back if I stop and start the wifi connection again.

I honestly don't know where the problem lies, the phone has no problem connecting to any other wifi point, only with the internet sharing from my macbook. Has anyone here experienced this and found a solution?

The reason DropBox is on my hit list is that it is NOT a Mac-native Apple and when you it is running (whether it appears to be actively sync-ing or not) it reads your files incessantly again and again and again looking for things that might have changed. It also reads your stored stuff on the Internet incessantly looking for things that have changed. It can really chew up a lot of computer and Network resources for nothing.

... so much so that your Wi-Fi could stop responding to your phone.
