I have a very large file (45 MB) with lots of links in it, both internal (ToC) and external. The standard "export as PDF" option only goes up to 40 MB. How can I turn this document into a PDF without losing the active links? I'm using Word 16.

Can you split it into2 PDFs, then join the PDFs afterwards?
Does the File menu in Word feature a Print… and on that print panel a PDF selector button, so you can choose Save as PDF?
You could just save the Word document, then if you have the free, LibreOffice v6.4.1 installed, open that Word document by right-clicking on it, and choosing LibreOffice from the Open With sub-menu. Once opened in LibreOffice Writer, File menu Export As > PDF, or Export Directly as PDF.
