iOS update issues on my iPhone 7 Plus

I updated the new iOS to 13.4 now when I try to make a phone call I can’t hear anything and vice versa. The speaker part on the phoned is greyed out, everything else on my phone works my phone will ring, speakers work, etc.

theres nothing in my settings that will allow me to delete the updated version. I’ve restarted it to no avail. I don’t wait to reset to factory settings. Is anyone else having this issue and is Apple doing anything to resolve this? Like I said this happened after the update so I know that’s what’s causing this.

thank you.

I agree with you 💯! It has been a total disaster for me too. My camera wasn’t working after the update but now it is. But my speakerphone is still not working. They said it is a hardware issue and we are responsible for the repair which is b/s because it is not our fault! I even tried to contact the CEO because phone was working perfectly and we shouldn’t have to pay for the repair!!!

It s such a disaster. My phone was ok before the iOS update. now it is having all problems as same as yours. Cannot hear phone calls, only via Bluetooth earphones. Recording videos but no sound. How to solve? the hearing problem was fixed once or twice by reset all setting but now it does not help at all. I dont want to do reset to factory setting at all. Please, guys, if you are successful with the last recourse, please share with me.

My husband keeps asking me to switch to Samsung or some other adroid phones, he said Apple s suck and if you do nothing about these problems, Apple, you really are :(

Sorry you’re having to go through the same thing we are going through! I even asked them did they test our phones to make sure that iOS 14.0.1 worked on our phones? They stated yes! That’s a lie! If so why are we all having the same issues? Come on now! This is not right or fair😡! Fed up for real! Pay our cellphone bill since we can’t even use our phones Apple, whoever this needs to be addressed too!!!!

I tried a hard reset, I took my sims card out and tried everything that they walked me through that could possibly be wrong. They told me to take it to the nearest Apple Store which is a 1 1/2 hours away because it is a hardware issue and the technician would need to look at it? I’m not for sure if a retail store can fix it or not? I wish I knew. I was going to see if they can do something first. I will let you know. Ugh this is so inconvenient for real!

:( too bad, after almost a day to reset to a factory setting, the problems persist. I had a chat with Apple support before doing these and now they asked me to go to Authorised repair store who confirmed to me they could not do anything about this!

Apple is about to launch a new iPhone 12 but probably if they dont solve my problems there is no way I am with them any more for those after many years of using iphone!!!!

hi guys, try to update with you all who have followed this post.

As I said, after hard reset, it didn't work at all. HOWEVER, after about nearly an hour, suddenly there was a call coming and it worked just fine. No camera issue neither. BUT it didn't stay like that! about 3 hours later, after I did a video less than 5 mins, the problems came back: no sound for phone calls, I have to use bluetooth earphones to cope with this. But there is no way to fix the problem of video without sounds. and voice memo does not work!!!

What to do now? wait for their update?

I’m very disappointed with Apple. They keeps on saying it cannot be the software issues. Saying it is not possible that software is unlikely to affect speaker. And say there is nothing she could do. In the end, I walk out of the store disappointed. Totally not the experience I used to have...

if the software is not ready, they should not release it. Now I can’t even calls anyone.
